Our family of two teen girls, wife and I, and Grandma were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, level of service, and reasonable pricing at the Riverview Restaurant. The salads, Ahi Tuna, Portabella Chicken, and Bacon-wrapped Filet were all outstanding. Service was very attentive and friendly. A warm fireplace nearby and a talented pianist playing holiday songs (at the right decibel level) added to the ambiance and helped to create a relaxing and memorable evening.

Happy hour is our favorite affordable stop here next to the Sandy river, anything on the menu will be a great choice, but chowder, ribs and sliders are very good. their happy hour wine selection is always very good, and always changes so you wont be bored with the same old vino. Dinner side is very elegant, and the food selection is upscale and very pleasing to the palate. the views from the dining room or outside deck are awesome, and often can be entertained by the squirrels in the trees out back. Romantic cozy place for a great meal, piano music, ambiance, whether first date to impress or enticing your old flame excellent choice!!!

We took good friends to Riverview for dinner, and had a fabulous meal. Although the prices are on the upscale side, the location, food, decor and service makes it worth every penny. It was winter and raining, so we ate indoors instead of out on the deck overlooking the river. Indoors was elegantly decorated in understated (thank heavens!) holiday "finery". The pianist at the grand piano added a special dimension. As he always does, my husband ordered the seafood tower, a wonderful concoction of prawns and cod, with stir-fried vegetables in a coconut curry cream sauce. I had their excellent rib eye steak. Their tableside bananas foster was a great hit, and inspired a couple at another table to order one also. We enjoy the Riverview for special occasions.

We've eaten here on several occasions with somewhat mixed results. Food has always been very good to excellent. But sometimes they are out of some things. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it. Service on our first trip here was great. In fact everything was great. Second trip, they were out of one of our parties choices for entree and to make up for it they brought us a free appetizer. During the meal we saw serveral people get the bananas foster which they prepare at the table. We wanted those, but by the time we were ready to order it, they were out of bananas. Really, out of bananas. Shouldn't have someone saw this coming. We live in the area and know for a fact that there are several stores within 5 minutes where they could have gone to get bananas. Third visit we had horrible service. They were very busy and as we found out from another wait, that helped us several times when our waiter would disappear for long periods, that our waiter was new and that she didn't think he had the experience that he claimed on his resume. We were there for over two hours by the time we finished eating and my wife still wanted the bananas foster which she had told the waiter that she would want when we ordered our meals. But they only have one cart and there were several ahead of us (even though we ordered early). So we gave up. Probably our last trip there for a while.

The best Ahi Tuna I've ever had. We received some gift cards from Restaurant.com and found this restaurant on their site. Well worth the drive out
