“Delicious breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

The food here is great and reasonably priced for breakfast. My friends had tasty egg dishes and everyone really enjoyed the experience. Friendly waitstaff were the icing on the cake.

“Food plus Location”

Good food and service in an amazing building chocked full of art and curiosities. Cozy without being cave like.

“Unique, tasty and memorable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Housed inside the Edgefield complex by McMenamins, the Black Rabbit is the nicer sit down restaurant vs. the grill located in another part of the property. Not sure how the menu compares to the other McMenamins in Oregin and Washington but the food here was excellent and the atmosphere/experience is unlike any place I have even been. The restaurant is inside an old "poor farm" on 72 acres and there are many, many places to stay, to drink, to see and to experience elsewhere on the Edgefield property. I recommend any McMenamins but highly recommend this unique place.

“Very unique experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

I had breakfast here with a couple who knew all about it. The McMenamin's Edgefield is for all intents and purposes...a resort. It is a series of buildings on what used to be a poor farm but is now a boutique inn with a spa and several restaurants, pubs, and bars. The Black Rabbit Restaurant is where we had breakfast. As soon as you drive up the drive you can smell the luscious scents of bacon, waffles, and various other breakfast favorites. They focus on using local ingredients and offer a very diverse breakfast menu. The coffee was wonderful and the portions were good. The pricing was very good for the quality of food. I will certainly be visiting this restaurant again if not also staying at the inn the next time I'm in the Portland area.
