“Hike up and feel the mist.”
Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

This waterfall is gorgeous from the parking lot, but it is breathtaking from the upper bridge and the quick .2m hike up will counteract the ice cream cone you will have or already have had at Multnomah Falls. :)

My kids loved the hike and particularly enjoyed the cool mist off the falls.

The trail is uneven and broken in some places but is easily manageable.

“Stunning”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

This is a double falls, with a view of the Columbia river when you hike to the top. The hike is 1 kilometre. there is an additional 5 k hike which we also took. the walk is worth the view.

“Nice waterfall, wished I had time to hike up to see more.”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Did not have time to hike up the trail but the views from the trailhead area were lovely, plenty of water flowing over the rocks and from high above - trees obstructed some of the view from below.

“Worth a steep climb”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

You can see these falls from the roadside, but it is worth the 0.2mi hike to the bridge which crosses them. Only then can you appreciate their magnificence. We are "almost octogenarians" and we climbed slowly but steadily, in the rain, on the paved path through the forest. It is worth taking your time to appreciate the trees and the mossy, "rainforest" undergrowth. Once on the bridge the true power of these spectacular falls becomes apparent. If you don't want a long hike back to the parking lot, go back down the way you came up. You won't be sorry you took the time and made the effort.

“Awesome day-hike!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

Loved the day-hike. The "less traveled" of the falls. Be warned...it's a bit of rise in elevation quite quickly! But so worth all the falls and the view!! We started at Wahkeena and did the loop to Multnomah (about 6.3 miles or so). Would recommend, but maybe not for young children...
