Description: Uniquely located on Timberline Lodge's second floor circular balcony surrounding the massive stone chimney, the Ram's Head Bar is the perfect location for family-friendly casual food and drink with stunning views of the mountains. Whether you're visiting Timberline Lodge in the summer with your family or taking a ski break in the winter, you'll want to visit one of our most popular casual dining restaurants, the Ram's Head Bar. From here, you'll be awed by the craftsmanship of the head house fireplace and enormous wood beams. You'll be inspired by the stunning views of Mt Hood and Mt Jefferson. You'll be delighted by the original artwork. You'll be just as amazed by the Ram's Head Bar menu. The extensive drinks menu features an historic and locally-inspired cocktail selection, a variety of hot toddies and Mt Hood Brewing Co microbrews. The locally-sourced and Alpine-inspired food menu won't disappoint either!

It's not every day you have lunch at the base of Mt. Hood, looking out the enormous picture window at the south face of the mountain, in such a elegantly rustic setting.

We were seated, ordered wine, & were served very promptly. This was fast service considering it was fairly crowded. We started with the Apres Ski Fondue. A blend of three cheeses with garlic & beer. It included an assortment of dipping items like apples, pickled onions, & bread. Next came the "Cubano Panini." Black Forest Ham & smoked pork loin on a Hoagie with pickles, a horseradish/mustard/mayo sauce & Swiss Cheese. What an incredible adventure. I have to admit, the location was 50% of the experience, but the food was also amazing!

There was a mix-up with our order, but our server was otherwise attentive and nice.

Our order: a salad and an avocado, lettuce, tomato sandwich. Very good!

This place was a special treat with its unique architecture, decor, and history, and we wished we could have eaten here again. It was a very special experience.

I had a glass of their Cloud Cap amber beer and my wife and I split the cheese platter with some added sausage. The bartender was super cool and knowledgeable about their food and drinks. The beer was one of the best I'd had in a long time and the cheese plate, while not cheap, was nothing short of excellent. Great place for a post-hike snack and adult refreshment.

Self service, but the food was very good. I highly recommend the Snow Rider's Breakfast and the French toast.
