“Amazing facility and hiking paths”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

We stopped to stretch our legs on the way from the coast into Portland and were shocked at how nice the facility was. The wood building is beatiful and has a really good movie about the Tillamook forest fires and how the area rebounded as well as a sizeable hands-on museum about the area.

When you go out the back of the building you walk across a pedestrian suspension bridge across the river that takes you to several easy hikes along the water.

A great place to spend 30 minutes or a few hours.

“Insanely beautiful area.”

This was the best forest visitor center I had ever been to. Lots of nice displays for kids and adults. You can climb a lookout tower and there are many trails to walk on.

Very interesting museum in a wonderful setting. Good exhibits and wonderful film on the forest and the fires that nearly ruined the forest.
