Owner description: Our brand-new Tillamook Creamery in Tillamook, Oregon, is now open! Curious about how Tillamook products are made? And what it means to be a farmer-owned and farmer-led company? What’s makes our products so delicious? You’ll find answers to these questions and more on your self-guided Creamery tour, with interactive kiosks, viewing windows, videos and lots of fun stops along the way. You’ll have a bird’s-eye view of our cheesemaking and packaging teams in action, churning out more than 160,000 pounds of Tillamook Cheese each and every day. And of course the tour wouldn’t be complete without sampling some of that cheese. My husband in his high school days worked at a old fashion cheese maker so he thought he would be seeing the "old school" ways of cheese making. Instead it was a automated factory with more robots than people. Seeing his poor little face smushed up against the glass was dishearting but the ice cream and cheese was out of this world. I rated it average because of my husbands dissapointment in the cheese making robots.

Great as allways, went on a day trip and got some snacks and they also have an extensive gift shop, good for pictures and selfies! I allways enjoy the cheese factory.

Factory tour is a self guided, which I though it was pretty neat. However, because we stopped by during the weekend it seemed that no one was working. Loved the free cheese samples, bummed that only one line was open but the ice cream really made up for it. Had the three scoop sample. Salted Caramel Toffee Crunch was the BEST flavor. We'll be retuning for more.

But tons of free cheese samples, every kind they make. And a single scoop of ice cream was actually about 4 scoops, it was awesome. Their icr cream flavors are incredible. I had the salted carmel toffee crunch. The factory is the only place that has every flavor.

We were there on a family vacation and even though it was super packed with people inside, we really enjoyed it. We were bummed that none of the factory was actually up and running and so we will have to return on a day where it is to get to see that part. The line for the cheese curds is long, but soo worth it and they have a great gift shop. We didn't wait in the ice cream line because it was super long, but we love their ice cream enough that is was almost worth considering. Food was average and more like amusement park options and priced the same.
