“Love the planes”

it's always so interesting to wander around the many planes they have. They also have a great diner with wonderful burgers and out of this world tater tots!

“Plan on at least half a day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

We only had 2 hours to spend at the museum and it was not enough time. I started the 1 1/2 hour guided tour and dropped out because of time constraints. It was going in detail about aviation history.

We stopped mainly to see the "Spruce Goose". It is huge! They have a large collection of planes spanning aviation history in 2 buildings. There is a 3rd building with a movie that we didn't go to.

My husband was in aviation in the Navy. We mainly stopped for him because he's fascinated with planes. They had the planes and helicopters that he flew in the '70's when he was in the service and he was excited to have his picture taken with them.

“Visit this museum and stop by the nearby Tillamook cheese factory.”

This air museum has many war planes that are interesting. Also, there are many WW2 era things to see. The museum is in a large structure once used to house blimps. Don't miss this exhibit if you are a history buff.

“Another excellent place to see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

We've been here before and knowing all the planes came back again. Still very good to see the planes, and all the memorabilia in a smaller version..Have heard rumors it's closing down, and hoping that's all it is is just rumors. The pictures, and films are always a pleasure to look at. This time we ate in the restaurant and it was good!

“Tillamook Air Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

One of the most unique air museums anywhere is located in Tillamook, Oregon. The museum is housed in a WWII era blimp hanger that is an attraction in itself. The aircraft are not cordoned off and the visitor can walk under the wings, peer into the cockpits and get some great close up photos. The museum is easy to find, very reasonably priced and has an excellent gift shop and cafe. I'd recommend this museum to anyone with an interest in aviation history.
