“Air Museum was well worth it!”

Stopped by with 3 teenagers (girls). The girls loved getting into all the flight simulators and even exclaimed, "I want to be a pilot!"

The hangar is huge and draped with a big American Flag. Lots of planes. The girls were amazed (which was well worth the $5.00 entry fee for youth and $9.00 for adults).

If your interested in history and vintage aircraft then this is the place for you. You definitely want to allow plenty of time for your visit here. The film and the photos about the construction of these huge wooden hangers, along with the WWII memorabilia are really interesting. (Sadly the other hanger was lost to fire many years ago) Then there are the dozens of restored vintage aircraft that are kept here, each one with information listed about the type of aircraft it is. I'm not a huge aircraft buff, but I really enjoyed my visit here and thought it was well worth the $9.00 admission.

I have been to a ton of museums and air shows, but this has to be the coolest that I've seen. It situated within an old blimp hanger. There's lots of history including displays of "real" uniforms from the era.
Restrooms are clean, however if you leave the display area to go to the restroom, the door locks behind you and you have to re-enter thru the main lobby. Give yourself at least 2 hrs in order to appreciate everything.

This is an old air museum. The admission is reasonable for family, and the neat thing about this museum is that there's no fencing around the planes so you can get up close and personal to your favorite plane -- look underneath, in the engine, you can even kick the tires (although not recommended). Not many volunteers working at the museum.
Gift shop had lots of good stuff and reasonable prices... We ended up spending over $100 at the gift shop.
Negative: I was really hoping to see a Corsair at the museum (it was in the posters and their coin) but there was NO Corsair... very disappointed at that. Also, the hangar is quite dark inside.

This is a great way to spend a rainy morning or afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this Air museum housed in the huge wooden Hangar. As well as the planes it also contains an interesting exhibition area.
