We were touring the wine country around The Dalles and this hotel proved to be ideally situated. It is older but well maintained with a pool, nice breakfast room and plenty of onsite parking. Our room was spacious and clean though well used. The Wi-fi was OK, always appreciated. Several great restaurants are within walking distance. The staff was considerate and helpful.

we paid $125. per weekend night for this room. usually we are budget travelers, so this was more than we are used to paying, and don't have much to compare it to in this range. that said, we were very pleased with our accommodations. the bed was extremely comfortable, and this is coming from two people who are used to sleep number beds. the bedding was soft and of high quality as were the towels. the dalles inn is located within walking distance to downtown shops, eateries, and activities as well as across the street from burgerville. (be sure to get some wala wala sweet onion rings.) the dalles is a great place to stay and we felt spoiled.

Room Tip: book in advance so that you can get a downstairs room

This was the second year in June that we have visited this property. Still a great staff, always willing to help out with whatever you need....sweetener for your coffee, towels, corkscrew. No questions, just very customer oriented. We had to add another night to our stay due to flight changes, and the staff was extremely accommodating. This year we stayed at the 'annex' section, and the room was as nice and clean as the original building...just no elevator. Best location in town to get anywhere. Convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: Stay in the main building if possible.

Staff were very accommodating here. The place is deceiving from the outside and even the hallways but the rooms, at least my room, were very nice, very comfortable beds, nice bathroom, and the room was very quiet. Nothing to complain about here. Breakfast was way more than "continental" breakfast.

Very handy location for downtown sight seeing but the showers were aweful. Never was able to regulate the heat - either scaling or freezing. Bed was comfortable, tv was clunky, lacking easily accesable of AC outlets.

I just want to say how great this hotel is, and what a fantastic value it represents. It was me, my wife, my two sons and my 76 year old mother. We traveled to The Dalles from Portland to participate in my sons' weekend basball tournament. We booked two rooms. Both were very clean and updated. No issues at all. The property is well maintained. The front desk staff very friendly. There is a small pool that the kids enjoyed so much. The pool was clean and well maintained. The parking was easy. The location is fantastic----right next door to a Pub with decent food, great beer and an outdoor patio. The front desk staff provided free coffee in the lobby. There was a complimentary continental breakfast. Everything about this small town hotel experience was excellent. Highly recommend this place if you need to stay in The Dalles.
