I thought I had died and went to heaven! The food, the staff, the view, and the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I only wish this place was closer to where I live.

“Nice river view”
Reviewed October 20, 2006

This restaurant is much better than it looks. We got there late and there was noone in the dining room and only one other table occupied outside where it was warm but very windy. We almost turned around and left but we were hungry.
Surprise. The meal was quite good. We had delicious porkchops, local wine recommended by the waittress and friendly service while enjoying sitting outside and watching a large barge with tow go through the canal. So glad we stayed.
Our dinner at this restaurant was part of a 53 day US tour that took us over 10,000 miles, 36 different hotels, and a different restaurant every evening. We were on a budget so did not stay in luxury hotels or generally eat in expensive restaurants, but we love our food and are reasonably discriminative. This review is relative to what we found on average. We used the AAA book or asked the hotel desk for restaurant recommendations and checked them all against reviews on TripAdvisor.com when available.
