“Love the Anzac”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

I love coming to the Anzac. My sister and I make it a point to go at least one time whenever I come home to visit! The food is AMAZING to say the least. We especially love the sun-dried tomato quiches and the chicken almond sandwiches, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Bev, the owner, always has a smile on her face and her staff is always welcoming and polite. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

*They also do cooking classes at the Anzac! Check the website for a schedule they are so fun!!

“BEST PLACE EVER!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

You're in for a REAL treat whenever going in to this quaint--yet quirky--tea house. Bev's speciality Australian cuisine and bubbly personality make you feel right at home as if going to grandma's for a tea party...PLUS...you get to choose your OWN teacup!!! =)

Come for special occassions, lunch for yourself, or--my favorite--her cooking classes and you will NEVER be disappointed!!! =) ( I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING ONE OF HER COOKING CLASSES--2 HOURS OF PURE ENTERTAINMENT!!!) I ALWAYS find any excuse to go here to eat whenever I'm in town...

EVERYTHING on the menu is made with love and tastes SOOOO scrumptcious!!! My favorites: mini sun-dried tomato quiches, chicken almond sandwiches....and now: her Austrailan Meat Pies (for the hearty man indeed!!!)

This is a meal you WILL NOT forget anytime soon!!!! =)

“Where time stands still.................”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

The Spirit of History is very much alive in 21st Century The Dalles, Oregon. While relaxing over a cup of tea, one can revert back to the time of Ben Snipes, Northwest Cattle King, who once owned this 1867 home. A charming place, delightful staff, and yummy food!

“What a TREASURE!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

A wonderful place to experience a meal or an afternoon tea! They have amazing food created fresh every day, they will even let you visit their kitchen and see their tea collection if you ask. I recommend the sampler plate if you and a friend are eating there for the first time! Oh and be sure to ask about the story behind their name and their FAMOUS Anzac Biscuit!! You will be back for seconds I promise!

It is a perfect setting to take your out of town guests to and let them experience the warmth from the staff and the historical history of their building, oh and the tradition of picking out your own tea cup when you arrive! It is also a perfect spot to have that lunch with a dear friend from across town that you rarely get to have time with.

I highly recommend this wonderful little treasure with a BIG heart for all of you to try.

“Pastries to die for!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

It's no wonder the Anzac Tea Parlour has been written up in Sunset magazine , it is a treasure! Bev bakes all the pastries fresh every morning. We plan our trips to Portland around a stop. I LOVE the Aussie Meat Pie, in fact we had our anniversary dinner at Anzac and took home a box of delicious food the portions are so ample. Do yourself a favor and stop at this delightful tea parlour.
