While traveling to Calf. we ran into some truck trouble so had to stop at The Dalles. First off, we pulled into Ray Schulton's Ford at 5:55pm. They close at 6pm. A salesman met us and went out of his way to help. He found us a place to park the truck and trailer and even drove us to Cousin's Country Inn. The entire experience with this Ford Dealership was outstanding. They when out of their way to help us and get us on the road the next day. Five stars to them.

Cousin's country Inn was also a great place to stay. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Helpful in every way. Being broke down was not what we had planned but we made the best of it. The lounge also had $3 margaritas which also helped to make everything better. We needed a late check out because of the truck repair which they were happy to do. Not a five star place but it was a very nice room. Good bed. Clean. Good location only a block from the Ford dealer, etc. I would not mind staying there again and even checking out the town a bit. Thank you Cousin's Country Inn.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We are so sorry to hear of your truck troubles but we are certainly happy to hear that you were taken care of by both the Ford dealership and Cousins! It is our hope that your next stay will be under better circumstances. Hope to see you in The Dalles again soon!

My husband I and stayed at Cousin's for two nights for our one-year wedding anniversary. We originally just booked one night, but had so much fun we stayed a second! When we made the reservation, no king rooms were available so we booked a queen. When we checked in, they had upgraded us to a king suite since they knew it was our anniversary! The restaurant has delicious food, although it's always busy. There is plenty of wine tasting near by and tons of amazing you-pick fruit. The pool was great too! A great place to stay!

The rooms are just so-so. Clean, but not very well lit. This seems to be a popular place with out-of-town work crews. Nothing wrong with that, but get used to vehicles starting up early in the morning to get to their work sites.
The reception staff are very friendly and are eager to fix any issues that might arise.
Enjoyed the restaurant. Good down-home comfort food at reasonable prices with very good service and friendly smiles..

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel so you're not bothered by traffic.

The rooms are very clean and reasonably priced. The best deal is happy hour in the saloon.
We had delicious tacos for $1 each. They also had a special on margaritas. Breakfast was great as well. They have the largest cinnamon buns ever!

We stayed at the Cousins Inn in The Dalles Or. We always eat at the Cousins Restaurant, which is fantastic if you love rich food. Wow.
We also added a night at the Cousins Inn....a mistake for sure.
The unit was nice but the walls are paper thin. We heard conversations, TV, bathroom noises etc from all the surrounding rooms. Not a pleasant experience.
It might have been because of the location of our room (Rm 212) but we could clearly hear intimate sounds from both neighboring rooms. Yuck!
