Lovely sunset view, great service! I had the pork chops, recommended by my waiter! It was cooked perfectly. My husband had a steak, very tender! Nice variety on the menu!

We dined at the Meadows on the last evening of our trip and it topped off our fabulous memories! We dined at sunset and the view was spectacular. We all had a hard time choosing from all the delicious options on the menu and I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered what we decided since we were all thrilled with our choices. Larry was our server and he made us feel right at home, not rushed, offered suggestions and was very attentive without being a bother - plus he had a great attitude! Will definitely return next time we are in Sunriver.

This is a awesome course. Friendly staff, excellent pace of play, and a great 19th Hole at the end of the round!

Amy did a great job of taking care of us during our recent dinner at the Meadows. It was the Memorial Day holiday weekend and was very busy. Even though they seemed to be a little short-staffed Amy was so nice and a natural at taking care of the customers we didn't mind the average food. Cocktails were good and the wine by the glass was just fine. We're foodies from Seattle and have the opportunity to enjoy fine dining on a regular basis. The food here was a little off. Steak not cooked to order and other food was bit institutional. The view was excellent and the resort staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable I feel a little guilty about my food review but it is what it is. We loved the resort, the staff, and our server Amy did a great job.

I have been staying in Sunriver since its inception. The lodge restaurant has had its ups and downs. It resurrected itself a few years ago, but has been a slow slide since. The menu looks like fine dining, the wine list is large, the view magnificent. That is the up side.

On our last visit the waiter could not pronounce several of the menu items nor most of the wines he was recommending. We took guests for an anniversary dinner. One of the four meals was an error. A steak rather than fish. The waiter apologized for a 'kitchen' mistake, removed that meal, left the rest on the table and did not return with the other plate for nearly ten minutes. The prices are upper mid scale, and all four of those plates should have been whisked away ....we came to dine, not fuel up.

The Thanksgiving buffet was not cheap....35/50 a head...but by 7:30, when our party was seated, emptied stations were not being replaced, and dessert was beyond sparse.

What food is and was served was good. It is as though they have aspirations that exceed the reach of service. It does not advertise or appear to be casual dining. That might be a better plan. Through the years the crowds at Sunriver have morphed from luxury seekers to friendly families. I am not fond of not happy mixing ostensibly elegant meal and an eighty dollar bottle of wine with Hawaiian shorts and flip flops and kids in bathing suits at the next booth.

The Meadows seems to be in search of an identity.
