“Peanut shells on the floor”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

Love the free peanuts and the canning jars for drinks. The food is alright, not great. The service has slipped a little in our recent visits. It is priced fairly and has lots of parking as long as you are not there around Christmas.

“Great food and delicious rolls”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

The best day to go to Roadhouse is on a Sunday!! On Sundays they have a loaded potato soup that is soooo good. The rolls with honey butter are always delicious and the strawberry lemonade is great!! I really like the salads as well but am pretty upset that they got rid of the french dressing. Not many places carry french but I knew I could go to Roadhouse to get it, until one day when they stopped serving it. The main entrees are usually pretty good but that's not what I go there for. I go mostly for the soup, rolls, and lemonade!! They do have the free peanuts and allow you to throw the shells on the floor. Some people don't like that the floor is littered with shells but I don't mind it. Service has always been really good there.

“Good place to get a meal after shopping at Cabels' s”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

Well afyer several hours qondeeing around in Cabela's my buddy and I got hungry. Saw that the Roadhouse was just around the corner. Anyway we had the tri-tip dinner. It was great the meat was tendee and had a great flavor. You got lots of food. Also you could eat all the peanuts you wanted. Hardly any wait to get in. We went away satisfied and know we will be going there again.

“Other choices around that would be better”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

We use to enjoy this place in Federal Way Washington but they closed up. When I saw it in Springfield my wife insisted we try it - but it was disappointing.

The rolls use to be worth the stop - now they are not as tasty and the server mentioned they had changed over the years - getting more bland. The garlic potatoes were good as was the broccoli. The roast was at best OK - not very flavorful. The Texas egg roll appeared to be now a Oklahoma egg roll since it was smaller (less filled) and dryer.

The bathrooms needed a lot of cleaning.

Even the server said that local business has declined due to the reduced quality of the food and without the travelers - they probably would not make it.

There are a lot of other choices

“Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

This is part of the chain so if you want a quiet place to eat with high end furnishings and a snobby waitstaff you will be disappointed. If you want a good meal, decent drinks and to be able to shell your peanuts right on the floor, this is the place for you.

Their Tri-Tip is one OC the best ever and their salads are good. I eat here whenever I am in the area.
