“AWESOME”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

It is obvious the negative reviews on here are from people who would complain no matter where they go. First, sushi is same size as anywhere in the country...are you kidding me when you write smal portions for the price??? I have eaten at many sushi restaurants all over the United States and this place ranks up top with the best of them. Fresh, fresh, fresh and wonderfully prepared. I eat here at least once a week and sometimes more - it is a wonderful addition to not only Springfield, but also to Oregon on the whole. Jin you are a sushi artist!

“Freshest Fish in Springfield!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

My husband and I went here with a Groupon I purchased because of the good reviews on TA. We were not disappointed with our meal. We had the daily special soft shell crab on salad as an appetizer. It was perfect.- lightly fried and seasoned and delicious! We shared a bento and a Hawaiian roll. The salad in the bento had a different dressing than was on the crab salad, but it was yummy too. The fish here was some of the best I've ever had. You could really taste the freshness. The bikini coffee shop in the parking lot that other TA reviewers mentioned is closed in the evenings, so we missed out on that entertainment. While it may not have a romantic atmosphere, it is a good place to go for sushi in Springfield.

“Great place to go with girlfriends for affordable sushi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2012

My girlfriends and I have gone here a couple of times after work and always had a good experience at a reasonable price. try the Philadelphia roll! The service tends to be pretty low key and the place is never crowded!

“Overpriced and bad atmosphere”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2012

Decided to check out Pier Sushi last week for lunch while on business in Springfield. I can honestly say that I was not impressed whatsoever.

The sushi is incredibly overpriced for the very small portions that are provided. There is not a lunch menu but I can assure you that the portion sizes are not worth the price they are charging.

Pleasant waitress but had lots of difficulty making recommendations on their menu and didn't seem she really knew the menu or beverage selections very well.

The atmosphere of this "restaurant" is really lacking. More of an open diner feeling, large picture windows overlooking the parking lot that has "bikini espresso" immediately next door. Unless you like looking a scantily clad overweight girls in bikinis that serve coffee all afternoon, ask for a table facing AWAY from those eastern windows.

The chicken bento box was a good value, but the chicken was full of grizzle and very hard to chew. The potstickers were overcooked and most likely came from frozen from Costco.

The sushi chef was present the whole time, but rarely did I see him make any sushi - making me wonder if all the rolls were made in advance and simply stored in the refrigerator.

Save yourself a visit to this place and go over to Eugene where there is MUCH better sushi at much lower prices.

“Overpriced compared to other options in the area.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012 via mobile

Food was good, but too expensive for what you get. Atmosphere inside the restaurant was pleasant, but there is a bikini coffee drive through in their parking lot, which detracts from this.
