“Bring your camera!”

Ok, after living in Oregon my whole life just an hour away from this gem, I can't believe we never came to the Gardens before. They have been here for quite a few years but are always expanding. The resort opened about four years ago and it has been our hope to stay and it finally worked out.
Having bought a GREAT Travelzoo deal, like everyone else said, it was an insane deal, it was so good. We can't wait for the next one but will proably have to fight everyone else to even get one!!! The restaurant dinner was soooo good, husband had the prime rib, I had the strip steak, perfectly done. The bottle of wine we brought home and yet to try but I am sure it will be wonderful. Room was large, clean, had everything we needed, Wifi, fridge, micro, bar area, large bathroom, great large comfy bed and private deck. It was quiet quiet quiet. They have a nice, seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub which we used one morning, lovely. Part of the package included a massage which I needed badly for my tendonitis/bursitis as well as trigger point pain. and it really helped. Even after the included breakfasts, wine, dinner, massage, beautiful room, the best part of the package was the passes to the gardens. If you can't walk far, they have a tram that runs each 30 minutes. The driver was very informative and we enjoyed taking pictures while he drove us around. Next time though, we will hop off and spend more time exploring. There are 80 acres of gardens, and each is so unique.
The best part was the huge storm that hit while there, with lightning hitting one of the trees in the garden (about 2 hrs after we had just been by it) splitting it right down the middle. They are leaving it there for educational purposes. I highly recommend this wonderful resort in such a great town as Silverton.

Room Tip: All rooms are in small cabins, I don't think I saw a bad one. Each has private patio and are qui...

We spent our wedding anniversary (August 21st) at this resort . We had a room/dinner package which we had before a few years ago. From making our reservations to leaving we found the staff at the front desk very nice. Want to mention Amy who checked us in. She made you feel welcomed and has a smile in her voice. Our room was a standard king size bedroom. We found the bed very comfortable. Room is a good size with a average size bathroom. Room has a microwave and frig. Nice private patio which we enjoyed the next morning before heading off for breakfast which is included in every room price. Be careful if you have to go to the bathroom late at night. There is a long dark narrow bench in front of the bed. You could stub your toe. We just turn on the light on our bedside. We had dinner in the restaurant. Grant was our waiter. Grant is a 5 star waiter. Should be working at Jake's or the Heathman in downtown Portland. Cannot say the same for the bartender in the lounge. (he had no name tag). We went for a drink after 9:00pm.This guy was more interested in talking with a couple at the end of the bar then taking care of customers. Believe me we heard people ask "are you going to serve us". Outside of that we plan to come for another special occasion. The gardens are lovely anytime of the year. We are only about 1 hour drive from the gardens so we do visit more then once a year.

Room Tip: All the rooms are on the ground floor. Never have to worry about someone walking heavy over you.

Out of the way resort offering a spa and beautiful gardens to wander through. Many wineries in the area offering great wine.

The resort has great tasting food for diner, though the breakfast buffet is mediocre.

The rooms are basic offering a small patio with table and chairs. The room offers a gas fireplace and a comfortable bed. A small microwave and small hotel type coffee maker round out the basics.

The pool area could use more patio umbrellas to sit under.

Overall a good place to unwind and certainly we will return.

Room Tip: Rooms are located in cottages with 6 rooms per building and all have small patios or walk outs.

My wife and I spent two nights at this beautiful hotel. We booked the Travelzoo special that others have mentioned here. It was an unbelievable deal that we still can't believe. We were impressed by everything included in the deal: the hotel, the Gardens, the Garden View Restaurant, the massage/facial, and the wine tours. Kudos to all the staff we encountered for their friendly and helpful service... from the front desk to the restaurant server to the spa specialists to the grounds keepers. We were blown away by the portion and the quality of our included dinner; the halibut was done just right.
The cottage style room was very spacious and comfortable. It had a kingsized bed, a small fridge, a microwave, a flat screen tv, and a coffeemaker. It had a patio looking out to the lush green grounds of the resort. The only blip was that the air con unit was a bit loud whenever it kicked in. It can be disturbing to a light sleeper.
We took the half hour tram tour (with talk) around the Gardens for an overview of the grounds. Then we went back to take a closer look at the areas that interested us the most. There are several wineries close to the hotel, and we visited a couple of them. A bonus was being at the nearby town of Mt. Angel to catch a bit of their annual Okterberfest. We wished that we had had more time!
We were introduced to an area that we were not familiar with, and we will certainly be back. We had such a great time!

We recently spent one night at the Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton, OR. We were impressed by the beautiful setting next to the Oregon Garden, a garden established by horticulturists in the area to showcase Oregon's extensive nursery offerings and to attract tourism to the area. Rooms were in a series of houses with six apartments each. Each apartment had it's own small fenced garden. The night's lodging included free access to the larger Oregon Garden. Breakfast was included in our offer.

We had been told that dinner at the Resort was highly rated, and we were not disappointed. Breakfast was a buffet, and good, though a bit limited.

Room Tip: I don't think that there is anything to distinguish one room over another. If you are at the en...

I'd never heard of this place before I clicked on a TravelZoo special. The price was right at $169.00 for 2 people, 2 nights, including two breakfasts and one dinner for two with a bottle of wine. It was a reasonable distance for a three day getaway so it was off to Oregon for me and a friend. (I live just north of Seattle.) it would be hard to improve on the other reviews posted as to the beauty of the grounds and adjacent gardens. It is in the middle of a huge agricultural area, including several wineries. This would be worth a return visit for sure!

This resort is set in nature, attached to a gorgeous botanical gardens that grows vegetables in addition to all the Trees, flowers and plants. There is an on/off tram that will take you thru the gardens so you can explore it at your leisure. The rooms at the resort are well kept, modern, all with gas fireplaces, and large. Each room has it's own private patio or deck. There is an outdoor pool, restaurant, lounge and lovely spa. The service people at the resort are wonderful. This is a great place to stay!
