“I love this place!”

We have stayed here 3 times now and just love it! The grounds are clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly. They have a wonderful bar with live music every night. A huge fireplace for cold nights. The rooms are clean and quiet. The Oregon Gardens are footsteps from the main lobby.
I recommend this property to my friends all the time. You won't regret staying here.

Room Tip: They are all good!

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Oregon Garden Resort. It has the feel of a counrty inn rather than a fancy resort. Very clean, nicley decorated and well maintained. A relaxed atomsphere with lovely gardens to view.

Dinner at the resort was great, as was the service. Breakfast included lots of choices, served buffet style so it's quick and easy to get on with the day. The second night after dinner in town, we relaxed in the lounge with a bottle of wine listening to live music. The rooms are large with a fridge, microwave and fire place. I loved the decor with folkish painted furniture and wrought iron bed. The bedding was fresh and comfy.

The location is good with only a half hour drive from Beaverton where the shopping is great. Close to the outlet mall too. We enjoyed visiting local wineries with the free tasting coupons we got from the resort. The little town of Silverton is beautiful and quaint, surrounded by lovely painted homes.

We would definitely go back!

Enjoy the journey - a 20 minute drive through beautiful lush farm country from Salem. You drive past a FL Wright original house, through parkland and arrive a an expansive peaceful park-like setting. Service was outstanding. The room cleanliness and quality was wonderful. Unusual to see extra-high ceilings and details like ceiling fans in places these days. I was surprised by the easy access parking, the extensive breakfast buffet, and the quietness of the whole site. The spa was a real treat!

Room Tip: Ask for F/G/H - nice view from the back decks. Take time to walk the gardens.

Terrific location next to the Oregon Gardens and easy side trips to spectacular Silver Falls State Park (10 waterfalls, some of which you can hike behind), and a host of vineyards with tasting rooms. Pretty farm country to drive and picnic. Rooms are adequate, and breakfast is just fair - but the price and location make it worthwhile. Nice thing about the rooms is there are individual cottages with six units per cottage - so if you want to get away from the box hotels/motels, this is a superior alternative. The spa is small, but service and massage as good as top end. The front desk was quite friendly and ready to please. As some reviewers have pointed out, this is not a luxurious resort, but the deal and location make this a very worthwhile adventure.

We visited Oregon Garden Resort primarily because of its proximity to Oregon Garden. We had a very nice room. No view, but small patio area, comfortable bed, quiet. Breakfasts were average. Dinner in the restaurant was good, but beware of the two tables in the whole place with no view. Every other table had a nice view of the garden. We were seated at a no-view table, and no offer was made to move us when a few view tables in the area were vacated. We could have asked to be moved, but it seemed like the staff there could have been a bit more attentive to the situation.
Access to the beautiful gardens right from the main hotel building was a plus. We saw several guests walking or running on the pathways before the garden would have been open to the public. The flowers were spectacular in the garden, and landscaping all through the hotel grounds was wonderful too. There were cantaloupes growing in the flower bed right outside our building.
The Frank Lloyd Wright house was interesting. Tours needed to be scheduled ahead, and an entrance fee was charged, but it was well worth it for FLW fans.
I had a facial at the spa, and the spa area was beautiful and relaxing.
The front desk staff was always friendly.
The town of Silverton had some great restaurants and coffee places, and was very quaint, with historical murals painted on buildings throughout the town. We drove out to see the covered bridge too. Lots of hops fields in the area.
We'd go back again, not only to see the wonderful gardens at different times of the growing season, but to stay at the resort too, and to explore the area more.

bad breakfast, but I don't like continental breakfasts usually anyway, as nothing is fresh. Here we are in the middle of all of these farms, height of fruit season, and nothing but storebought , hard nectarines! . tiny "fitness room" a treadmill and exercycle was a joke, just another thing that sounds good on the web site(corporate trick), but in reality... unfortunately, people are dazzled by the adjoining Oregon Gardens which are very lovely, but that is a separate place! it was nice to have admission ($11 each per day) covered in the hotel fee. the fireplace didn't work the first night we were there, and the front desk said the maintenance man had left for the evening. It was fixed sort of by the next night, but a tiny flame. For the prices they charge, I wasn't impressed. The bar scene was sad- I wanted to take over the lounge act, but there were a handful of bored looking folks in there anyway. Felt overall like a corporate owned, greedy at the top soul-less resort. Not even robes in the rooms and they have a spa on site! sorry, won't go back.

Breakfast included with room fee was poor. Hot day meant very warm room upon entry and we mistook the wall thermostat for the control. Tried to call front desk for help, no answer. They should mention location of control is on unit which is in a not obvious corner. Better labeling in the room would help. Also there was a pen but no paper at all. Dispenser for soap in the shower nice but few supplies complimentary by the sink. Room included fridge, coffee service, comfy beds and a gas fireplace. Did not eat at formal restaurant or visit the bar but others in the party seemed happy with them. The garden is great of course, and the tram can be accessed by the gate down the steps out front. Not great for elderly as distance to rooms can be a walk and the path was not lit at night (not turned on).

Room Tip: Building near spa saves steps (400-500)
