After a 5 hour drive we arrived at the lovely grounds of the Resort only to find that although we had a confirmation number, they didn't have our reservation. The man at the 800 number when I made the reservation made it at another of the company's resorts. Luckily Vita, at the front desk was able to find us a room available for both nights because they were almost sold out. She then went to investigate the error so we wouldn't be charged as a no show at another facility. That was the 1st of exceptional customer service. Every employee we encountered was out to please us.
The grounds are very pleasant and well kept. The room was very bright and comfortable and we loved having our own patio. Even though the facility was fully booked, we never heard a sound. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, but the pool facility was very nice.
The adjacent Gardens are beautiful and well worth the stroll. we recommend taking the free tram ride 1st to hear the narration and then take your own stroll. The local areas of Mt. Angel and Silverton offer shops & restaurants and Silver Falls State Park is a short, pastoral drive.
This may not be the party spot for some, but it was perfect for quiet, restful respite.

Our stay at the Oregon Garden Resort was nothing less than excellent! All rooms are cottage style with fireplaces and private garden patios. One can open the windows for fresh air, too!! They have all the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, free internet service, and the rooms are nice size. The landscaping is gorgeous, and everyone we came in contact with (front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping personnel) were very friendly and polite. If you are looking for a quiet place with beautiful gardens, birds singing and overall a quiet setting in which to relax and unwind, this is it. We will definitely be going back!

Room Tip: All rooms are single story with private garden patios. I don't think any area is better than an...

We stayed on a Travel Zoo deal for 2 nights in early June. Had a lovely condo, clean and new looking. Deck overlooked lush landscaping. Being next to the Oregon Garden was wonderful and admission was included in our stay. Staff were friendly. Had an excellent massage in the Spa. A couple of issues with slow service in the dining room and bar (not enough staff ) and one issue with housekeeping not restocking our coffee supplies (and Guest Services did not follow through despite a call). Breakfast buffet was average. We would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the unit to get the best garden view

Each time we come to Oregon Gardens Resort it gets better. This was our third stay. The gardens has been continually expanding, and this time in June , it was especially beautiful. Our private patio room, the facilities and the grounds were spotless. Every staff member we met was incredibly helpful and nice. We couldn't believe all the extras included our two night midweek package; bottle of wine and dinner for two, ( very nice) breakfast buffet each morning (pretty basic), one hour long massage (male masseuse was amazing , three day Oregon Garden admission tickets, several complimentary vouchers for local wine and beer tasting as well as shop and restaurant coupons for nearby Silverton, a darling town. A nice long soak in the big outdoor hot-tub by the pool was a great way to end the day.

It would be hard to imagine not giving this place a 5 or (at least) a 4 star rating. This is our second visit. Last time it was in Sept for our anniversary and this time we got a different set of flowers and blooms for my wife's birthday (in June). Comfortable clean rooms adjacent to Oregon Gardens. Happy staff. Good food. Relaxing settings surrounded by flowers. Not too expensive. Lots to do in neighbouring towns and the weather has always been just right for us. An excellent romantic get away. If you can't be happy here, you can't be pleased.

My husband and I spent four nights at the Oregon Garden Resort. The grounds are well maintained and the garden theme is carried throughout the resort. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and it is a very peaceful setting.

The room was clean and well appointed including a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, fireplace, etc... The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet to outdoor noises and other guests.

We booked our deal through travelzoo and received an outstanding rate. The deal included breakfast daily, dinner for two including a bottle of wine, and entrance to the garden throughout our stay. The breakfast was adequate. Dinner will be reviewed under the restaurant title.

The Fireside Lounge in the hotel lobby is a wonderful place to hang out in the evenings before or after dinner. Happy hour from 3:00-6:00 ($3.00 house wines and draft beers) daily and live music every night beginning at 7:00. We saw three different musicians during our stay and enjoyed each one.

I have to mention the demographics at this hotel. We are in the 25-35 age range and were the youngest people at the resort, by far. I certainly did not mind this, however I do not understand why this resort isn't appealing to a younger crowd. Perhaps location? We are not big city fans, so this was perfect for us. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area as well (Silver Falls State Park, Local Wineries, etc).

I would highly recommend this resort, especially if you are young and looking for a romantic getaway.

My husband & I used a travel zoo coupon for a three day get away in the spring. Our accommodations were lovely. We had a little frig and a microwave right in our spacious two queen bed room. There was also a fireplace (never used) and a small private patio (lovely place for morning coffee). The gardens were only a short walk away and beautiful at this time of year. There is a tram that runs through the park, but I only used it for a ride "home". Our breakfasts (included in the price) were pretty standard for a hotel self-service buffet, but the bread pudding one morning was yummy! Dinner (also included) was delicious and the service even better. My husband had a steak and I had the duck. The included bottle of wine was also very palatable. We had a free massage, but had scheduling issues, so we never used it. We later wondered if we could have traded for pedicures (something we really love to do together).. Also included in our package were three wine tasting and a brewery tasting. We used them all, had a lovely time in the area and brought home eight bottles of wine! We did not spend a great deal of time in Silverton itself, but it seemed like a fun little downtown area as we drove through. We would definitely return to this area and keep the Oregon Garden Resort on our list of places to stay.

Room Tip: We were initially in a single bed room. These were much smaller than the two bed rooms and seemed m...
