Our stay at the Ebb Tide was in October 2007 and was for our Anniversary. We stayed in a 2Bedroom unit on the 2nd floor with an Ocean view. Our unit had a Kitchenette which served our purposed for out 2 night stay perfectly. Our room was clean, with a fireplace, and a large window the width of the room to view the beach and hear the sounds on the beach and the surf. However, with the window closed all of the sounds of the beach are kept out. At night, open the window and sleep to the sounds of the waves and the salt air will make you sleep like a baby. The Ebb Tide is located about 2 blocks north of the “turn-around” and on “The Prom” which runs the length of the town right along the beach. You can walk from the Ebb Tide to almost any area of Seaside.
Go to http://www.seasideor.com/ and check out that Seaside has to offer. Seaside Oregon is a great place to spend a couple of day, or a month. There are plenty of activities, great places to eat, and one never gets tired of watching the surf. The beach is broad with many scheduled activities throughout the year. Any season is a good time to visit Seaside. There are plenty of activities for every age group, from Arts & Crafts to the famous “Merry-go-round”, to cinemas, to outlet shops.
A short drive south from Seaside is the community of Canon Beach, which is another great little community with lots of shops, and more great places to eat. The beach has the famous “Haystack Rock” and one must eat at Mo’s, which is right on the beach south of the downtown area.
We did have a problem with the vent of the gas fireplace having a malfunction. It was not venting properly and caused us to become ill. We opened the windows and called the front office and the repairs were made in a prompt time.
The Ebb Tide http://ebbtide.citysearch.com has a sister resort (High Tide) “south” of the “turn-around” and is also a great place to stay. From this website you can download and print a coupon for a free nights visit.
