“More than a pub and grill”

Some nice dinner specials; good happy hour menu. Second dining room good for dinner while the front is more bar and grill style.

“Tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012

We recently had supper here and found the meal to be quite tasty, but my one complaint was that there was too much garlic in the garlic-mashed potatoes which rather overwhelmed the rest of the meal. The wait staff were very friendly and the restaurant is bright and cheery. It is a good place for a meal in a small seaside town.

“Good bar with a friendly bartender”

We stopped here for drinks and were welcomed by a helpful bartender who made us feel at home. The happy hour prices were good and the wine pour generous.

“Home town cooking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012

My wife and I had dinner here after reading Tripadvisor reviews. The reviews hit the mark. This is home cooking and it is done pretty good. Not a culinary wonder that 4 stars would earn in a metropolitan area or even a great gem of a restaurant tucked away in a sleepy coastal village. But a solid rating none the less compared to surrounding offerings. Friday night was prime rib night which my wife ordered and I had the St. Louis ribs. Everything prepared nicely and the quantity of meat was good (enough to take some home for a morning scramble). A special shout out to the french fries - home made, probably not the best for my cholesterol, but they were the best I have had in a long time. Service from the kitchen was slower than normal but our waitperson did a nice job of keeping us informed. Would we come back again? Yes.
