We were in Seaside, Oregon during our grandchildren's Spring Break and took them to see the Seaside Aquarium. Our 4 granddaughters really enjoyed feeding the seals. It was so cute to watch the seals clap and make noise to get our attention for treats! The girls also enjoyed the other marine wonders in the Touch Tanks and making designs with crayons of the seals. Fun morning!!!

The kids loved feeding the seals and getting to hold the hermit crabs. Actually that was our favorite part. The aquarium is kind of small but very interactive with the staff and learning about sea life. I would take the kids there again

The Seaside Aquarium is relatively small but contains something for everyone. Most folks have already mentioned the seal pool which is right inside the front door. Seals are always entertaining but you shouldn't expect too much. If they have been overfed already the day that you visit they will most likely just swim around the pool and not pay much attention to what you have to offer. Along that line, don't be tempted to purchase too much seal food. There were four of us and we got three trays. It took about ten minutes to dispose of the contents of one tray since the seals are typically oblivious to the food. We gave the other two trays away. The tanks inside are loaded with sea creatures that you don't often see. One of my favorites was the Wolf eels. There is a fairly large octopus in an open tank that appears to swim laps at regular intervals. Others have mentioned the touch tank. My seven year old grandson probably enjoyed that the most. This aquarium is a must see attraction if you are in Seaside.

I will never forget the octopuss! Eeek! This small aquarium is located beach front in Seaside, Oregon and is a great place for interaction with seals. Several of the critters frolic and play in front of your glass window that is NOT to the ceiling, so prepared to be splashed. It also makes them more real, and the experience more interactive. Inside, you'll find low display areas with the said octopuss and other sealife. While small, it's still a great place to stop. Often during summer months there will be a display outside the aquarium in the sand put on by assorted civic groups on sea life if the area.
