I had a last minute business meeting in seaside, but was lucky to walk in to the holiday in and get a room. Overall was excellent, but room was a bit stuffy. Check in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was good, service better. Will definitely consider staying again.

We did plenty of research of hotels in Seaside and decided on Holiday Inn Express. Upon our arrival, we were provided excellent service by the staff, especially by Jamal. He set us up in a very pleasant room. He provided all of the extras (rollaways, bedding, etc.) promptly- in fact, when we noticed later that evening that we needed some additional items he acknowledged that he had forgotten to bring them up earlier. I was very impressed with his professionalism and accommodating nature. We had also left some items in the lobby which he arranged for us to get back.

The hotel was nice and quiet and our room was also quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific and the lady in charge of the breakfast was pleasant and courteous. Breakfast items included: pancakes, eggs, bacon, bagels, danishes, toast, cinnamon rolls, cereals, etc. swimming and fitness facilities were clean and well-maintained.

Only one issue we had was the panel on our bathtub kept falling off- it needs to be replaced completely as it took only a slight movement for the whole thing to smack to the floor. But that is our only complaint. Thank you for making our stay so lovely (the weather wasn't very nice so we spent more time in the hotel than anticipated which wasn't a bad thing.)

I probably wouldn't write such a good review if not for Deb. She really went above and beyond. She negotiated a really nice rate with us. She was MORE than helpful with the many questins we had. She suggested places to eat, with menus. Had maps and info. Whatever we needed she had it or found it. This hotel sits in a really neat town. It's full of little mom and pop shops. It is a really neat place to visit. The hotel is really nice on the outside and the lobby is nice looking as well. The rooms are quite spacious. The water pressure is awesome. It is just a little (but not too bad) dated. Beds are a little hard. But the place is very clean. Close to several shops and places to eat. Would stay here again if revisiting the area.

Stayed here the first weekend in October and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very convenient to anything in Seaside. The room was spacious and clean, we were upgraded to a mini suite and was happy with our room. The workout facility was a little weak, no weights just some older cardio machines. The business center was nice, however the computer time was limited. You were able to extend it once or twice, but thought that was odd. The hotel was fairly empty when we were there, so it was nice. The free breakfast was nice and the server was attentive and constantly restocking items so it was always full and fresh. Overall great stay in Seaside and if we are back on the Oregon Coast would consider staying here again!

I went on line and got a great price for the two nights we would be here. King bed, river view. When we got there, we were told that it was on the first floor. Last time we stayed at the Rivertide Suites and had specifically requested a floor with no animals. (Love pets, totally allergic.) Imagine our surprise when the RS put a dog on the floor anyway saying they had run out of pet rooms on the other floors. They were very rude about it as well. At any rate, knowing the HI allowed pets on the first floor, and I had NOT double checked on this, I immediately asked if I could move up a floor or two, because I was afraid I'd be sneezing and hacking. (Yes, I'm sure housekeeping is great, but somehow I still end up being miserable.)

We lost a river view, but the wonderful and most excellent employee of all time, Joemal, upgraded us to a suite on the mountain view side. Wow! Really? This never happens to us. We were totally thrilled. Big thumbs up to Joemal!!

The room was nice, but we couldn't open the bathroom door all the way because the toilet seat was in the way. Now if you put the seat up, then the door, albeit just barely, cleared. Have to say, it was a pain in the neck to have to keep putting the seat up and down. Bummer. The pillows, for some odd reason, were really uncomfortable for me. They have two small garbage cans in the room. Perhaps that works for most guests, but we managed to stuff them and then spill over and out. Just not big enough for us.

Breakfast was okay, but every time I went to get biscuits, they were out. Note to biscuit lady, if you're down to 4 biscuits, why not put another pan on in the back? Now I can clearly see your reticence if it's 10 to 10 (the breakfast closes at 10:00), but it was 8:30 in the morning! Trust me biscuit lady, we will need that next pan of biscuits asap!

The hotel is within walking distance to everything, it was great. My reviews will touch on both the good and the bad, but the "bad" in this instance was sufficiently minor. I'd have no hesitation staying here again, especially if Joemal is still around. That guy absolutely made our weekend.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us. Given the very nature of the hotel business, the hours are long and demanding.
Day or night, good service depends upon people willing to give their very
best at all times, I know Joemal feel the same way. That's why it's truly rewarding when a guest recognizes our staff’s efforts, and takes the time to say thank you.

I have also talked to the breakfast attendant in regards to maintaining a stocked breakfast bar.

Again, let me thank you for your kind words. We're committed to total guest satisfaction, and we look forward to your next visit.

My wife, my adult daughter and I had a one day visit to Astoria. We stayed here and got room 402, a suite. Wonderful! Both bedrooms had river views and looked down on to Marine Memorial Park. Flat screen TVs in both rooms. Friendly staff. Because of the short stay we didn't use the indooor pool and spa, exercise room and hotel cruiser bikes but they all were readily available.

Breakfast was unexciting but adequate.

Room Tip: Bridgewater Bistro is a pleasant, 5 minute, river view walk from the hotel. If you read the reviews...

We had made reservations at another close by hotel to the Holiday Inn and found it to say the least sub standard! We walked down to the Holiday Inn Express and were pleasantly greeted by a friendly staff at the front desk. Traveling with the 2 small dogs that were very well accepted by the hotel staff was great. Can’t say enough about the 2 ladies working at the front desk in the evening they were the best! Room was very clean and would highly recommend to anyone coming to Seaside. Have to say probably the nicest and friendliest hotels we stayed in on our week long trip down the Oregon Coast.
