“A nice respite at the end of the boardwalk”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

The hotel is located out of the mainstream tourist mayhem, but still only a 10 minute walk to the main street in Seaside. You can have a nice view of the ocean and relax on the balcony. When we were there, they were having a one week price special, which made our stay incredibly cheap. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I appreciated the free wi-fi and the taffy treats. Other reviewers have commented on the thin walls. Yes, they are thin, but luckily, we had quiet neighbors. Several good place to eat are nearby, if you don't feel like going into town.

Room Tip: Stay on the third floor facing the ocean to minimize noise and maximize your view.

Our stay was amazing, the view of the ocean, the cleanliness of the whole hotel, the friendliness of the staff, and reasonable prices, only made it better. I have never been to Oregon and now it is my favorite place to vacation. There are so many things close by and the main drag was close, yet far enough away to be peaceful. Oregon people are so friendly and Norma's restaurant was great and we thank you for suggesting it. I can not wait to return soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a King suite

This was our first vacation to the Oregon shore, and we loved every minute of it. The Inn was very hospitable with a great staff, free bikes and movies, and a BBQ grill. Right next door was a good coffee shop and a great pub with local beers on tap. That and the beach outside our doors, everything we needed was right there. We'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: Third floor has the best view of the ocean

We stayed in a first floor room, with two queen beds. The room was light and airy, with a nice balcony, fireplace, fridge, and microwave. They even provided pet bowls and a pet towel, making our pet very welcome. We did experience some noise from the floor above us, stomping around that lasted around 20 minutes or so and finishing up around 10pm. There was also noise from the hotel pool across the street until around the same time. The beds were a little bit soft, but we did sleep well and all in all we enjoyed the hotel and will return. The location is wonderful, right on the south end of the promenade with a grassy flat land walk right out onto the beach. The beach is clean and uncrowded and dogs can run to their hearts content. There is a neighborhood of nice homes surrounding the hotel. We found breakfast across the street at Auntie M's very good and there is a nice market about a block and a half up the street. The service was excellent, it is a great place!

We stayed at the Inn at the Shore for a family getaway. We stayed in the two bedroom suite and it worked out perfectly! This hotel is in a great location, short walk to the beach and a nice stroll to the prom. Was a little farther away from the shopping area but worth the quiet. Will stay again for sure!

My husband returned home from deployment in July and we had his parents come to Washington for long visit. I thought taking them to the beach would be a fun time. It was! I found this spot while using Google maps. I am glad I found it. It is a great location, right on the Prom. We had wonderful time. If I go to Seaside again, I will make reservations at The Inn at the Shore again!

Being located at the end of the Promenade was very nice. The beach tended to be more private and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. That being said, when we checked in we asked where a good place to eat was. The woman checking us in came up with one restaurant suggestion, and even that took some contemplating. Our last day there we discovered that there was a whole strip of restaurants and shops in the center of the town. Why in the world she didn't promote it, who knows, but sure wish that we would have know about it! We would have spent an entire day there rather than traveling to Astoria for the day. Also, housekeeping was hit and miss. One day garbage wasn't emptied and bathroom condiments not restocked, the next coffee filters and condiments were missing.
