The staff was friendly, accomadating. Resort is very well taken care of. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful! Close to town. You can walk, ride bikes or drive to town or beach. Lots of resturants, shopping , and things to do!!

We found this to be a very well maintained, quiet campground with excellent facilities. An ideal base for a visit to the northern Oregon coast. An especially nice feature of this campground is that is dark at night. No annoying street lights shining in bedroom windows and skylights and you can see the stars at night!

When I purchased a new RV in 2013 I received a one year zone camping pass to the 1000 Trails Preserves. It's important I say that and follow up with this is not a purchase I would make on my own. I have visited several 1000 Trails "preserves" for free. And I appreciate the one year membership. However, I have found the parks to be overly priced for stays, and excessive fees for everything. For the price I believe there are much better options available everywhere.

The 1000 Trails Seaside is located in the heart of Seaside. It is not beachfront and in fact is about 1.8 miles from the beach. The beach is very accessible from the campground - just go straight down 12th until you hit the Pacific Ocean! There is a north side and a south side to the campground. I visited in late October so off season. I tried several times to get a spot during the summer months and there was no availability. So book early if you choose to come. I picked the South side as we are adults traveling without children and this is the quieter side. Most of the activities are on the North side. Several spots were marked closed thus making you pick a spot right on top of your neighbor even though the park wasn't near full capacity. Very few choices. Sites were level and clean. This campground has and enforces a septic tank line off the ground policy, and of course, just in case you don't have the right equipment they sell the very overpriced equipment to you. So make sure you bring something to put under your pipe.

I would rate the campground average, but overpriced, and way too many fees - you have to pay to rent a firepit, otherwise no fire for you. This is true at all 1000 Trails. So pass on the membership, and if you choose to stay do so on the "public" side.

We are thousand trails members but our membership doesn't include free cabins. We did get a small discount. This is our first shot at a cabin. It has bedding that is cleaned and if you want to use it there is a fee. We just brought our own towels and sleeping bags. The bed setup is about a queen size that is pushed up against the wall on 2 sides. There is a single bunk bed above that. Also a couch that will fold out to a hidabed. Our daughter slept on the couch not extended and was fine. The kitchen utencils were provided along with pots, pans and other items to get the job done. 3 burner stove, sink and full size refrigerator. Nice shower that had plenty of hot water. Funace has a regular thermostat and would over cook you if it was turned up too high. We had a good time and will be back.

Room Tip: We had a cabin under some trees. They had some that would be in the sun. We had dog with us so we di...

We are 1000 Trails members but had never been to Seaside. The campground was very nice, well maintained with clean bathrooms. The indoor pool was a nice touch due to the cool Pacific temperatures. Unfortunately for us, over-ridden with children, but great if you have kids (although if I were there with kids I would be out cycling or walking the boardwalk etc). The spa was nice after riding all day. The best part of this campground is its location right in town. We rode our bicycles everywhere. Would definitely go back again. We were in a motor home. We had no problems with customer service. We did not rent a fire pit (which I have noticed is the policy at a number of the RV campgrounds I have visited, if they even allow a fire at all). The tent sites were grassy and really nice; don't understand the complaints.

Room Tip: The park is in two parts: the north side, which has the pool, family clubhouse and tent camping. Th...

Let's see... the kiddie pool was closed for some repair, the felt on the pool table was ripped to shreds, the basket balls were flat, the big pool was so cold that we were shivering and the clubhouse has a great selection of...(wait for it...) VCR tapes.

NEVER AGAIN.

Overpriced, not friendly customer service, you have to rent fire pits and you can't park next to where you're camping. We tried to rent a firepit at 8:50pm since we were busy all day and they said "nope, too late." Even though the office supposedly doesn't close until 10pm and you have to wheel the pit down to your camp yourself. Go to Forest Lake down the road. May be a little sketchy in appearance, but nice people, nice ammenities and fire pits for half the price.
