Everything about this place was amazing. Great service from the owners. Lamb kabobs were so tender. Spinach pie with sumac and other spices was a nice new flavor for me. Falafel appetizer had a lovely assortment of vegetables and pickles. They brought us homemade pita with olive oil and special spices to dip in. Lebanese coffee and baklava for desert. Yum.

We were looking for a place to eat, and a lot places were closed (New Year's Day). We saw McBani and decided to try it; we like middle eastern food. It was fabulous. It took a while for our food to come, but it was SO good. We could tell the owner/operators take a great deal of pride in their cooking.

They weren't busy, the evening crowd hadn't started yet if this place was to get one. There were 3 tables for 4 open. When she greeted us we were told because we were only 2 they couldn't serve us.

Frankly, there's only so much fish and chips or clam chowder a person can eat. When you're looking for something different (maybe even some vegetables...) try McBani's.

It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall on the main strip in Seaside and perhaps not very eye-catching, but don't be fooled. It's a mom-and-pop restaurant serving flavourful and freshly made Lebanese fare. If you've never tried Lebanese cooking, do yourself a favour!

Roasted cauliflower was zesty with za'atar (not spicy, just delicious) while the open-face spinach pie was also very flavourful with a nice lemon zing. And the labneh (soft cheese with olive oil and mint) made us want to lick the plate clean. Stuffed cabbage rolls were small cigar-shaped rolls, tender and equally delicious...better than the usual Eastern European version.

We also had the chicken shawarma and beef kafta (ground beef) wrap, both fresh and super flavourful. Portions are very generous...the appetizers are almost meal sized and the wraps are almost foot-longs. We had leftover shawarmas for lunch the next day - best picnic of our trip.

There aren't many tables, which is good because service can be a bit slow, but that's because they're cooking all the food from scratch and fresh when ordered.

And finally, the prices are very reasonable given the sizes of the servings. Strongly recommended!

This is a small restaurant that serves fresh, tasty Lebanese food. This is not fast food; its hand made freshly prepared food. You should expect to wait, however the wait is worth it especially if you order the falafel, which were truly amazing.

Absolute gem in a small town. Everything we tried was fantastic; hummus, lamb and chicken shawarma, baba ganoush and especially the baked falafel.
