Good food. Great Micro brews. I like an 'Oregon blond' beer. Nice place to take in a sporting event and unwind.

The Ram is frequented by the locals..Willamette students and other city people who desire an outing to a sports bar and cafe with very good food and an atmosphere that is electric. The portions are BIG and while the menu dwells mostly on burgers, other tasty options are available. The premises are clean and comfortable. The service was fairly slow when we visited, but the place was crowded. Strongly recommended for this type of establishment.

Good service, adequate menu with the expected over size burgers, salads, soup, and standard entrees.
The burnt fish taco featured salmon and did have lots of salmon. Two tacos meant one went in the take home box, the slaw surrounding the fish was average.
Fries with hamburger were ok, my daughter said the gorgonzola cheese really added to the burger.
Chicken Caesar salad had enough chicken but not exceptional.
Service was efficient and courteous with drink refills readily offered.
Prices about as expected for this type of eating place.

I lived and worked in Salem, Oregon during the 1980s. The Ram Pub was a popular hangout then, and was infamous for its slow service. You were unrealistic to expect anything else in those days.

With the addition of a brew pub to the establishment, the quality of the food as well as overall appearance has improved over time. We stopped for a late lunch on a Sunday on our way back from the Oregon coast and really enjoyed the salmon salad with pita bread and hummus, as well as the selection of gourmet burgers. It was an enjoyable meal once we received it. It appeared that only 2 waiters were working the large dining area near the bar. All tables were filled. It's too bad that the management understaffed the restaurant that day.

I'll continue to accept that it is unrealistic to expect anything else but slow service at this long standing restaurant!

We were seated fairly promptly even though the place was very busy. The parking lot was full on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is not over-the-top sports bar, but there are several large monitors. It was an NCAA basketball tourney game night and we enjoyed being able to watch the game during dinner. Two of us ordered the same menu item which were incorrect when delivered to the table. The server quickly corrected the error. The food was good and reasonable priced. Additional seating is available away from the bar and TV noise.
