My wife an I just checked out of the Grand. We were in a double suite on the top floor. We asked for a room away from tthe elevator and ice machines....why? Well because we like it quiet. The room we were assigned was 504 which is right above one of the busiest intersections in town. Every time the traffic signal turns you hear the roar of trucks, cars and especially unpleasant, motorcycles. Yes pretty much late into the night and again early in the morning.
It appeared to us that rooms on the back of the hotel with odd numbers (517, 519, 521,etc) ---which face the Museum---had to be quieter.
The rest of the hotel is just fine. The room was ready for early check in and it was clean. The hotel staff were pleasant. Breakfast was just adequate.More
