Convenient location, clean, pleasant staff and inexpensive. Although there is a pool, there is no hot tub. The rooms do not provide a clock, in room coffee or a hair dryer. The free breakfast was not worth a visit and the coffee was indifferent.

This was a perfect stop with a rental truck...after many laps in their great swimming pool, refreshed for the journey. Immaculate throughout, friendly staff. A famous pancake house is a block away, or if you want McDonald's it is there too!

Stayed here one night while traveling to the Portland area. This property was apparently opened as a Sleep Inn and appears to be fairly new. The exterior of the building could use a power-washing to get rid of some of the accumulated grime. I was pleasantly surprised by the room interior - modern furnishings and fixtures, a clean bathroom, and a decent bed. No mini-fridge or microwave, and no clock radio, and the TV is an older picture-tube model, not a flat screen. However, for the $43 room rate (AAA rate), I consider this quite a bargain. While the interior walls were a bit thin (as I could hear the TV in the next room), the exterior walls and window didn't let in much traffic noise from the adjacent freeway. I'd certainly stay here again when I pass through Salem.

Room had bad odor. No alarm clock. Had air conditioner but filter was clogged.,
No iron or board. Had fridge but didn't work. Screen on window was ripped to shreds.
No coffee maker in room. No restaurants close by. Never again.

Two daughters and myself stayed for 4 nights while taking classes at the state capitol. The room was bare bones, but appeared reasonably clean unlike what some other reviewers have stated. Even though everything looked clean, I didn't like walking on the carpet barefoot because it felt kind of creepy like it was deeply dirty, but not visible. Because of the current problems with bed bugs (in general NOT the hotel) I took time to pay attention to the mattress- no bugs, but REALLY wimpy mattress pad which is kind of gross in theory.

I had trouble connecting my computer to the internet as another reviewer noted and a nice guy at the front desk told me he would be down to our room to help make a connection shortly, but never showed.

Bottom line, I felt lucky to find such a decent place so close to our classes and would stay again for the value, but it wouldn't take much of a negative experience to sway me away.

Room Tip: Upon reservation I would tell them you were aware of the cleanliness issues some had experienced and...

Hotel is next to I5 and is easy to get to. Room was clean but tired worn carpets and noisy air unit that woke us up several times. No in room coffee but continential breakfast was complete with coffee, juice, and pastry. Wireless Internet didnot work and the error stated that modem was not setup. When I notified the agent at the front counter he said that he had already reset it several times. Staff was friendly and prompt.

Word of warning for Choice Privelege members, I just tried to redem point for Gas card on there summer promotion and was told that Rodeway Inn and Econo Lodge don't count and you must stay 2 consective nights to earn the credit, this sure wasn't clear on the web site.

Since we were only going to stay one night so booked this motel. We had previously stayed at a rodeway inn and were satisfied. we knew the motel would be just a place to spend one night. Usually they are clean and the bed is comfortable enough to sleep for one night. This motel, although, not as good as the one we stayed in previously was below minimum standards. The room had an odor of a dog previously being there. Although the clerk offered to change our room when I mentioned it, we had already were settled in and decided to stay. The breakfast was cereal, toast and a honey bun (which you buy at a grocery store). We took the coffee and ate elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel the price is too high for what you get.
