don't stay for business and have your employer pay for you because when you arrive they ask for a personal card to charge expenditures above and beyond the room but they ended up charging the whole room to my card. personal stay would be greatMore

Thank you for your Trip Advisor review. Your comments and concerns are invaluable. I have discussed the billing issues with the staff to make sure that there are no confusions in the future. We strive to make every guest happy before they leave the hotel and I apologize that that was not your experience. I hope we can have a future opportunity to change your mind and show you the quality service we provide here.
Best looking hotel in the area...rooms were clean, lobby was nice. However, this is undoubtedly the most unprofessional staff (front desk, reservation) that I have ever dealt with. Very rude...If you are with a large group of children you may want to think twice before staying at this hotel. Staff yelled at the children in the pool area stating they were being to loud and guest were complaining of splashing. Now I would much rather have a bunch of children playing in the pool vice the the lobby and general areas. Again, beautiful hotel...clean and modern. However, the staff needs to be reprimanded for their unprofessional and rude behavior.
We tried making reservations for this hotel and the staff was extremely rude on the phone. The first time I called, they hung up on me, the next time I called the lady was extremely rude stating she couldn't find the block of rooms that had been booked for us and didn't understand what I didn't get about that. I had to reserve online because she still would not help me. They put a card in our room for a cookie, my son went to get one and of course they were out. The front desk staff yelled at the kids when they were playing in the pool. One parent went to find out what the problem was and the staff backed off once the parent asked for the manager. Breakfast is 9.95 a person so we went across the street to mcdonalds and got breakfast. Our room was nice, but they really need to train their staff in customer service. It stinks!!!
The room we had was a family suite. For the amount we paid each night I was very disappointed in the room and the hotel. We stayed at the same location a few years prior to this visit when the hotel was the Phoenix Inn & Suites. They offered a complimentary breakfast. The Double Tree offered a $9.99 breakfast buffet. Thankfully there is a McDonalds right next door. The bathroom had ants, the room service was terrible they didn't make all three beds. The one they did make they had left clothes underneath the sheets and made the bed anyways. We will not be back to this hotel. Very disappointed.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointing service and conditions of your recent stay. We know our guests deserve the best and we will use your comments as we continually evolve to best meet and exceed our guests' expectations. We have shared your comments with our team and assure you appropriate steps have been made to correct the issues you encountered with amenities and guestroom appointment. Should you return to our area in the future, we would love to have you back so we may better demonstrate the complete quality stay you expect and deserve.
The first night we stayed in a small, single Queen room. It was comfortable enough. then we moved to a 2 Queen room, which seemed very large. It was right near the elevator, so when we were by the sink, we could hear the elevator. Not too bad, just noticeable. Other places in the room, we could not hear the elevator, so we had no problems sleeping.
The beds were very comfortable. The room had a sofa and table, desk and chair, mini refrigerator, microwave. Clean and comfortable room.
Breakfast, which was included for us, had make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and bacon, breads, pastries, yogurt, fruit, OJ, coffee.
Room had Wi-Fi, free for Hilton Honors members.
They did not give us the cookie at check-in :-( I'm sure we could have asked, but the last Double tree we were at give us 2 cookies each, so we didn't need any.
Overall, very comfortable room.
Akward room design, wimpy water pressure, squeaky AC, unstable room temp, train horns, check-in mistakes, discrepancy about inclusion of breakfast, unapologetic employees. Not what I expected from Doubletree.
