First, theyve failed at least one health inspection (partially due to fridges not working right and keeping food in 50's, and only fixing it cuz of health inspection but had been broke for at least a year prior, meaning all there food was kept in danger zones at all times while serving it to people).
Second, a friend of a friend is a master brewer and was asked to go to plantation to discuss their brewing techniques, he had to tell them right on the spot that their beer was literally toxic and should be discarded instantly because it could kill someone; so that alone should say how they run things--dont know what they are doing and shouldnt be doing it.
Third, they fire staff for made up reasons (theft, missing work when they werent even scheduled, and i could continue cause its happened to at least 10people that i know), i think this says something about management practices--if you get fired for theft/not showing up, then you cant collect unemployment, so thats why they do this.
Forth, wait times are horrible, service is terrible.
Fifth, most expensive bar in town; 3.50 for a beer when same beer is 2-2.50 at every other bar in town. They also charge for their food menu like they are gourmet, and if you look at their menu, decor, etc you might think they are, but what about serving spoiled fish, and topping lacking pizza thats still doughy is gourmet?

Unfortunately, they didn't have any that night. Super friendly, accommodating server. But the food was just averaged. We complained about the artichoke dip & the waiter took it out of the tab. The best dish was the stuffed mushroom. We ordered the special - stuffed prawn & it was above average. But the other dishes paled in comparison so I'll rank it average.

We were excited to go to the Plantation House when it first opened a few years ago, because the decor gives you such high hopes. They were soon dashed by amazingly poor service and horrible food. We haven't been back until last night. Someone gave us a $50 gift certificate for this restaurant for our anniversary which was super nice, but we weren't excited about it. I looked at the recent reviews and they didn't give us much hope, but we went anyway. What a surprise...we received excellent service from Isaac who was very informative, attentive and personable. We both had burgers and fries which were wonderful. My husband had a strawberry mojito which was very good. We were pretty shocked w/ the turnabout. Apparently, there are new owners as of July 1st and they're making some changes. Congrats on your efforts...it's working!

Perhaps restaurant impossible could help this place out. It needs a major over haul on all fronts. Waitresses were nice but need major training. Do not touch peoples food. Do not slap people on the back or rub their back. Do not say your sorry five hundred times. Menu needs to be refined and simplified. Stick to burgers and beer.

I feel a Mgment problem here. kids need to Learn to Work I agree.
I was always taught the Customer Comes First.
So You Serve the Customers in a manner in which they would love to Come Back, . . Right??
Then You Serve them HOT FOOD.
But Service and a Smile are Definately Lacking here!
We waited well over an Hr, then Had to ask how much longer before Our Pizza was ready??
They had never even started fixing this Pizza. By this time, We were a bit Upset.
Definately ruined our Experience here.
We won't be back. . . . Sorry. . . it need improvement badly and it starts at the TOP.
