“Excellent Service, food in Friendly Atmosphere”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

On a recent trip to visit family we came across this little gem, sort of hidden away from out normal path through Historic Roseburg, the Mark V.

We found the restaurant surprisingly busy for the location and it being a weekday, yet we still received friendly, welcoming, and excellent service from the staff, along with great food and beverage!

My wife Chef Salad was mounded with fresh, tasty cheese and meats (not your average Chef Salad), while my Southwest Chicken Wrap was stuffed with fresh vegetables and delicious grilled chicken, and finally our daughters Macaroni & Cheese was fresh and extra cheesy (to her liking).

The Bloody Mary is amazing, one of the best we've had in a very long time and I was fortunate to find on tap two (new to me) outstanding beers; Laurelwood stout Espresso Organic Stout (Portland, OR) and Too Shy Stout (Roseburg, OR).

An overall excellent visit and a guarantee we will be back!

“Wow! Fantastic food, great staff & ambiance.”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Very, very good food. Lots of it made right in house. 8oz patties on their burgers. Huge!!
Had the special. A chicken, sundried tomatoes, spinach, bacon, feta cheese, with a light garlic oil. OMG!!! So good.
Reccomend to anyone.
Staff really made it a great experience.
The micro brewery Widmer Hefeweizen wheat ale was fantastic.

“I would have rather had Taco Bell for dinner.”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

So. Where to start. There's not much in Roseburg, OR, so we decided to try the number one place in hopes that I was maybe a hidden foodie gem. We were seated promptly and the hostess was very polite. Then things went down hill quickly. The bartender was our server at a cute booth in the lounge area. Our first round of drinks came relatively quick. They had a decent wine list. We then sat for about five minutes with our menu closed waiting to order, staring at the bartender who was facing us about ten feet away gabbing with a local about how ugly a girl was. Finally she took our orders, the food was subpar. Calling it tapas was false advertisement. It was cheap pub food. The only half decent thing was the tuna. Our table was only visited once more in the duration to give us another round of drinks whilst the bartender ate her food from a Tupperware container and continued to gossip with a local. We had to finally ask the hostess as she walked by for our check, still didn't arrive, so we walked up to the bar to ask for it. As predicted, it was over priced. In the end, we would have been better off eating at Taco Bell and donating the other $70 to charity. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Save your time and money.

“Yum. Worth a trip to Oregon, which I am planning soon!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

Excellent food and service. Family owned and operated. Our favorites: any salad, clam chowder, Halibut Fish and Chips (potato wedges) and Serrento Chicken. Fabulous! Friendly wait-staff who remember us each time: excellent local wines.

“How can you not go here?”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

My friends and I were traveling through the area and had heard of this place. We dropped in (5 of us from the SF Bay Area) and were treated to food and drink beyond our expectations. The Chef has taken great pride in food prep and presentation. I would rank it among many of the fine dinning locations here in San Francisco. The dinning area is a bit small and can easily fill so I suggest a reservation if you are planning a weekend evening. There is a full bar with a good wine selection. The staff a huge surprise - they know their menu and how dishes are prepared and are full of suggestions.

The down side - chairs are wood and can be a bit uncomfortable for long leisurely dinning. We went for the food and drink not the surroundings. Not exactly wheelchair friendly.
