“Best customer service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2011

I usually stay in 5 star resorts. I came to Redmond on business and this was the best they had.

Wow,, I expected 2 star service. The staff is as friendly and good as any 5 star place I've stayed.

While expensive, this property is a good option in central Oregon. The hotel is less than 5 minutes by car from the airport (the hotel also has a shuttle) and offers excellent access to major travel routes. Hotel parking is a bit cramped and oddly laid out, but overall is adequate. Hotel personnel are very personable yet efficient.

The room was well maintained and the bedding comfortable. The "suite" was more of a room (relatively small) with a small alcove containing an additional bed. HVAC worked well.

Among other amenities, the hotel offers a salt-water pool, several meeting rooms, a morning selection of breakfast items, and a small business center with no-charge work station/internet access.

The only negative for this property (and it's more of a comment than a criticism) relates to cost/value. Given the basic (no frills) nature of the property/room and its location in a smaller market, I was surprised that the rate ($115/night) was as high as it was. On the other hand, given the rather worn-out state of other central Oregon lodging choices, I would return to this hotel as it met all of my business travel needs.

We have stayed in this hotel for the last two years. Our daughter is in CHOSET and we have three meets a year. Last year and this year the hotel is very consistent in the quality you pay for. We did make the mistake of trying another hotel close by this year for our first meet. That was a big mistake and quickly made reservations for the next two dates with Comfort Suites.
The rooms are large, very clean, beds are awsome for comfort and the linens so soft. The two queen room has a large granite.counter with two sinks and a huge mirror outside the bathroom. This is great for a family getting ready in the morning when someone is in the shower. No problems with the hot water. Rooms come with a flat screen tv, good size fridge and micro. For our teenager this is great for keeping plenty of food and drinks on hand. There is also a full size desk and livingroom area with a sofa hide a bed ,chair, coffee table, and plenty of lamps in the roo for lighting. The heat and cooling work well, which was great since it snowed while we were there. This has to be the quitest hotels we have ever stayed at. The walls don't seem to let the next rooms noise through. When you walk down the hall you might here your neighbors, but not in your room...love that! Pool and hot tub are very nice and we use them each trip. My husbands favorite is the full cont. breakfast. They have a big selection with hot entrees, each day something different you will be stuffed. We usually have to leave very early in the AM, and they are very accomidating having food ready early for us and the Airline Pilots that stay there. This hotel also gives group discounts if you call ahead to book a block of rooms. There is one thing I don't like about this hotel....having to check out and leave. Staff are excellent and will go out of thier way to assist you in any way. Thank you for a great place to stay while we are away from home.

We were very impressed with this motel. Quiet, accessible, exceptionally comfortable beds! Rooms were really clean. Luxury bedding (down comforter), modern decor. Full breakfast offered and the best price anywhere in a couple of years! Wow!!!

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday as we have relatives in Redmond. We could not have been happier and they couold not have been more accomodating. They even made sure ahead of time that we had everything we might need on Thanksgiving day as they were letting most staff have that day off. The breakfasts are wonderful and generous. The only thing we found undesirable was that for an area that has snow and ice for long periods of time, our bathroom had no heat source at all! That is something that should be remedied.

  • Liked — The quality for the money and the generous breakfasts.
  • Disliked — No heat source in bathroom.

We stayed with our 3 children. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. My husband even commented on how comfortable the bed was, and he usually doesn't do well on hotel beds. Our room was on the "canal side" which is much more like a river. Very quiet. Breakfast was great, sausage gravy with biscuits, bagels, waffles, juice, cereal. We had our car battery die and one of the hotel staff used her car to jump start us. Front desk was very helpful for what ever we needed. Would definitely stay there again when in Redmond.

I would highly recommend the Comfort Suites in Redmond, Oregon. They charge a little more than other competing hotels and motels in the area, so almost booked elsewhere, but am so glad I changed my mind. They have luggage carts rights by the door to help you unload, nice elevators and helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast each morning was great and the rooms are very clean. For those who are interested they also have an indoor heated pool/sauna and an exercise room. They even have an express check-out which means going straight from the hotel room to the car. It's a beautiful hotel at a fair price. Will definitely make this my regular stop.
