We stayed in a condo at Eagle Crest over spring break and the accommodations are so nice and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The sports centers are fantastic for entertainment. Love the outside heated pool, hot tub and sauna. Indoor tennis is great and love the bike rentals! I would totally recommend a stay at Eagle Crest!!

This hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are very, very nice. The coffee shop in the lobby has excellent food--limited menu, however, a good chef, it is in the details and they offer the best organic beef burger you will ever have. They also have an upscale restaurant which we did not try but I expect it would be similar in quality. The facilities are fantastic. Wonderful golf course, lots of activities for the whole family. The corral has many horses, the views are great but the most important asset they have is their staff. It was not only how they treated us, they had a good word, a smile and the willingness to assist their guests that never ended. It comes from the top down and whoever leads this team is doing a terrific job. What an enjoyable stay!

We are timeshare owners at Eagle Crest and we love it. My husband golfs and likes the courses. The condos are nicely decorated and spacious. There is one small bedroom downstairs and the master bedroom takes up the second floor. The master bedroom has a separate balcony, jacuzzi tub, and it's own coffee maker. There are many trails for walking or biking. The surrounding area is rural with horses and llamas. Mt Bachelor and the Sisters mountains are breathtaking. Snow capped even in the summer. The staff at Eagle Crest are friendly and helpful. Its a great place to go to escape the hustle of city life.

My wife and I used a Groupon voucher to stay here for two nights. We paid a little extra for a King suite overlooking the golf course and two complimentary glasses of wine upon arrival. Probably would have been equally happy without the view or the complimentary wine. Our accommodations were clean, comfortable and quiet. The suite has a mini-kitchen which would not be useful for anyone staying longer who expects to prepare any meals other than microwave dinners. Aside from a small refrigerator, there is no storage available in the kitchen for food or staples. Our suite included a full bathroom with an additional sink adjoining the bedroom (very much appreciated by my wife!). The walk-in shower is a modern design with a fixed floor-to-ceiling glass wall. The suite included wide screen TVs and DVD players in both the bedroom and the living room. (We had to call the front desk for instructions on how to use the DVD.) We appreciated the free WiFi connection and we had no problem connecting with our cell phone provider.

The Aerie Cafe, which opens early each morning and stays open until 8 pm, has a reasonably-priced menu of pizzas, burgers, fish & chips, eggs, waffles, and other similar items. We enjoyed what we ate. There is a nearby restaurant with a much more extensive menu but we didn't eat there. For other meal alternatives, we recommend driving 3 miles into Redmond and eating breakfast at the Red Rooster and driving 16 miles to Sisters to have a fine dining experience at Jen's Garden restaurant (reservations a necessity). The resort staff employees were, without exception, pleasant and helpful. So nice to see so many smiles and friendly greetings! Although we stayed for only two nights, this resort could easily be a place where you would want to stay for a week -- particularly if you are a golfer, as the resort has an on-site golf course. The resort is near a high-end custom housing development. Many of the custom homes have incredible views facing west towards a panorama of former volcanoes -- which, at this time of year, were covered with snow. We enjoyed our two-night visit and we anticipate we will return for a longer stay. "Traveling the world one meal at a time..."

I have been visiting Eagle Crest since I was kid, and although it's always been a great vacation destination, the lodge was in need of some freshening up. My wife and I recently visited and the changes they made are fantastic! Everything from the front desk area to the rooms to the restaurant have been remodeled and brought up to date and in line with the Holiday Inn standards. The place looks really great. The old Birdie's cafe has become Aerie Cafe, and has a great new look to go along with the much improved menu. Overall I can't recommend Eagle Crest highly enough.

We arrived here by using an RCI timeshare exchange that expired in March - we were looking for a place we could go, not too far from the SF Bay area, with a kitchen and a fitness facility. Our visit exceded our meager requirements.

We were in a 2 bedroom 2 story condo facing a canyon, at the bottom of which was the Deschutes River. The condos were rustic outside, but very pleasant inside. The finishes of the furnishings were nice, not incredibly upscale – comfortable for us (a couple) or kids (reasonably indestructible). The kitchen was very well outfitted – cooking implements, grilling implements, pots, pans, blender, coffee grinder, popcorn popper, crock pot …. Washer/dryer, nice flat screen tvs with cable in living room and master bedroom. Master bath had a whirlpool tub, which you’re not supposed to use oils or bubbles. There’s a full bathroom with regular bathtub downstairs. Deck downstairs with gas grill and patio upstairs.

What’s not provided: coffee/tea/sugar (salt and pepper only). Internet (wireless) is $5/day, $20/week.

As advertised, the resort has tons of well-maintained trails for hiking and biking, including along the Deschutes River, very walkable from our condo. There are several sports centers/pools. We only used the one closest to our unit, which had 3 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, a couple bikes; about 12 Life fitness weight machines, a few mats and exercise balls. There are no free weights on the property (or so we were told by someone working out).

We came just for 4 days in early March for some one on one time. So, the lack of much in Redmond or activities at the resort didn’t really bother us (the latter I imagine is a result of the time of year– the resort was not at all crowded). We did go to downtown Bend one day, which was a pleasant window-shopping experience. If we had stayed longer, we would have done more activities.

One day our key stopped working and we called the front office to have them come open it up for us. Someone showed up literally 1-2 minutes later. We were impressed – this is a very large place, with the various accommodations really spread out.

Our only hesitation about coming back has absolutely nothing to do with the resort or even the activities of the area – we found the high desert vegetation (in early March) a little … scrubby for our taste. Otherwise, this is a good place, and we would recommend it.

My family and I spent a weekend at Eagle Crest and had an outstanding experience. We enjoyed the newly renovated guest room accommodations and a fabulous meal in the Aerie Cafe. We also had a great time at the resort sport center playing tennis, working out and relaxing in the jacuzzi. The best part of our stay was the friendly and personable staff we encountered throughout the resort. We will definitely recommend the resort to our friends and look forward to another stay in the summer to play golf.
