The sign in at the front desk should have given me a warning of how this stay was going to be. We had to wait 20 minutes for check in. They had two peoplIe working when there was a line of 10 people waiting to check. We booked a suite overlooking the golf course and they tried to put us into a regular hotel room. After I refused, they finally offered to "upgrade" us to a chalet with on the golf course with a hot tub on the deck. The chalet was nice, however, it had 2 double beds that had the cheapest mattresses and felt like you were sleeping on springs. I didn't sleep for two nights in a cramped bed.
When we left the hotel I let the manager know of all the issues we had during our stay. She admitted that the Chalet was not owned by the hotel. She then did the one thing that really bugs me and asked what she could do to make up for all the issues we had. She should have offered a free night or something to try to get us to come back and not ask us. That is such a cop out. If a hotel is going to offer an upgrade it should be a Upgrade! I wont stay there again!More
