... this is an addendum to our previous review ... when we stayed there May 2014 the patio deck was in very poor shape; water damage, paint chipping, wood splintering etc ... in the current pix, it looks as tho' the total back deck has been replaced and has a natural finish to the wood, not painted as it was before. We still would not recommend this vacation rental due to the lack of overall concern from the rental/property managers.
yes, once there, we found the home to be vastly under-par ... there were multiple large, unsightly, dirty spots on the carpet. There was no extra toilet paper in either of the 2 bathrooms, there were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher as well as the inside of the microwave was spotted with splattered w/ food build-up, the sliding glass door in the Master Bdrm. was left unlocked when we checked in, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the Master Bdrm and Bath, as well as the Liv Rm There was a smell of pet or ?? urine in the house ... we had to open the windows to give it a good airing out. Upon notifying the rental company, they offered to minimally compensate us, which we were not satisfied with - our stay there was for a week, just 2 of us staying at the house nights. We had family staying in the area and had pre-arranged for them to come for dinner 1 afternoon & evening ... we were VERY embarrassed by the condition of this property AND the lack of concern from the management company (not Eagle Crest). On the back deck, the paint was chipping badly, was not pleasant, it needed some serious attention.
