I taken the grand kids here before and they always enjoy it. It does seem to be falling into disrepair but is interesting to see. It was a work of love.

It's hard to pinpoint what I liked best. The structures and flowers were just beatuiful and I learned alot about the rocks in that area from the grandson of the man who built the garden. He hides in the museum. :-)

May have been cool at one time but is in serious disrepair. The best thing about it is the baby chickens and peacocks.

We are simply not impressed with being charged to see a bunch of rock cemented into "interesting shapes. The property feels run down and uncared for.

I had so much fun here. The spirit of of Mr. Petersen is alive and well in all his artwork that surrounds you. There is so much to appreciate here! I am so glad the family is getting help to restore the gardens. The museum is closed and there was no gift shop, but maybe someday they can reopen them to allow those who passion and appreciate the "rockhound"!!!
I can't wait to go back! The gardens are on an honor/donation system~be honorable and pay for your visit! We stayed for a couple hours, just had to take it all in♥
