“Meandering and beautiful!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

The Crooked River Ranch is a little known area that should be on your list as a destination resort. The Smith Rocks State Park is just across highway 97 and also a great place to visit.

“Sunny when the rest of eastern Oregon might be uninviting.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Stop along the way and try your fly rod and enjoy the sound of the water in this out of the way fishing spot.

“Wonderful scenic drive”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

lovely drive into Prineville from Paulina...stopped at Post the geographic center of Oregon...this is a good route to take it you're heading to Burns, as it cuts out John Day...though if you've not done it, the drive between Prineville and John Day is out of this world!

“Beautiful Scenery”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

This drive is so beautiful that you will want to drive slow. There is a new sight around every bend. Be sure to stop in Post, Oregon (the center of Oregon) on Hwy 380 and get a milkshake. they really know how to make one.

“Amazing scenery”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

If you want to enjoy some amazing scenery take this drive. My husband and I are photographers and this is a great place to take pictures. There are two or three campgrounds which we would like to go back to and go camping. We stopped in the last one which was right along the Crooked River and had a picnic. There was only the sounds of nature! The basalt rock formations are awesome to look at and there were fly fisherman all up and down the river. Once we got out of the canyon and heading into Prineville we still enjoyed the scenery and checking out the houses and ranch land.
