“Love This Park”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

We have been coming here for a few years and love the small town atmosphere of the park and Prineville. The park is well-kept with paved sites and lots of trees and green grass. The manager, Karen, is great! She always makes us feel welcome each time we visit. Several great places to eat breakfast are Good Thyme Cafe and Dad's. For lunch you can't beat the Meadow Lakes golf course restaurant. The RV park is a great place to stay while you enjoy all that Prineville and the surrounding area have to offer.

This RV park is beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Great wifi, and cable TV. Beautiful grounds and very clean, nice bathrooms. Yes I would definately come back here. This is great place to camp if you want to see the "Painted Hill's and John Day Fossil Beds and just travel and enjoy central Oregon. We orignally booked a stay at Sun Rocks RV which is 15 miles out of Prineville, towards the Reservoir, stayed one night and got the heck out of there. In addition, after paying $45 a night at Sun Rocks with no wifi, no cable and dry dirty uneven pads for trailers, we only paid $27 a night for a beautiful camp ground.

A great alternative to Bend's high priced RV park, this pleasant park is convenient to many high desert attractions and just 30 minutes from downtown Bend. Prineville is a nice, friendly small town. An hour's easy drive east on Hwy 26 brings you to the spectacular Painted Hills, and the scenic Crooked River drive is simply a left turn out of the park!

There are lots of mature shade trees and not only does each site have a nice lawn, there are large lawn areas near the entrance to the park. Some campsites have 50 amps, but most have 30, plus water, electricity, cable TV and free wi-fi. Many of the sites are pull-thrus and are ample in width, and each of them had a barbeque.

Check in was exceptionally friendly, with Karen volunteering lots of information about area sights and restaurants. Restrooms and showers were nice and clean, as were the grounds.

If you travel with a dog, there is a *wonderful* public park and huge enclosed pet area just across the quiet street. The pet area is sponsored by a local 4-H group and everyone is welcome to bring their dogs to let them run. The park has a pretty river and recreational facilities.

The price is very fair at $25 per night in May. They also have two basic cabins available.

Since it is located next door to the Crook County fairgrounds, I would expect this park to be quite busy during the summer events; the county fair is the first week of August.

We enjoyed our stay here and will return :-)
