We have usually gone to Sunriver for family vacations. Nothing against Sunriver, but Brasada is just better. Our kids had a great time at the big pool (with amazing slide), riding horses, hitting range balls, and riding bikes around the property. Us adults, loved all of the same things, and also indulged on great food, sitting around the fire pit, the great rooms, and the first-class service. As a golfer, I would also note that the course at Brasada was in great shape and a joy to play. If you have usually gone to Sunrive you owe it yourself to give Brasada a serious look.

Room Tip: Something facing the Mountain Ranges

My wife and I just spent our first wedding anniversary at Brasada Ranch and we loved every minute of our stay. We are from Southern California and found Brasada on jetsetter.com. We were looking for something outdoorsy were we could relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery. From the moment the Brasada staff picked us up from the airport we were treated like royalty. The entire staff had been informed that it was our anniversary and not one person failed to congratulate us, and throw in free desert at every meal. The cabin we stayed in was amazing and had its own private hot tub. On top of the incredible service from the staff, the members were some of the nicest people we have ever met. They bought us drinks, gave us tips on the best food to order and even invited us to play a fun game of doubles tennis. The restaurants on site offered amazing food and the golf course is one of the best i have played. The only complaint i would have is that most of the activities are quite pricey. It would be nice if they offered some packages that included multiple activities to encourage people to take advantage of the options. Also i would encourage anyone who is staying there to bring their own food because each cabin has a full kitchen and there is no where to get groceries anywhere near the resort. All in all amazing time, i would recommend to anyone.

What a great time. I can't wait to go back with my kids. Golf, spa, slides, pool, did i mention the spa? One of the most memorable meals I have had in some time and we live in SF. The views from every point on the property are spectacular. Direct flights from SF were a plus

Make sure to have the skillet breakfasts.....

Room Tip: the top room on the corner has a killer private balcony.

Very nice ranch cabin. Restaurant good, but wish they didn't dim the lights so much I couldn't see my dinner companion!

Thank you so much for the review. We’re very glad you enjoyed your cabin and the restaurant, though of course I am very sorry to hear that the lighting was too low. I trust that if you asked, the lights could have been turned up. We hope to see you again soon.

Just returned from four days at Brasada. Fantastic place!. We traveled from the Bay Area on a direct flight from SFO to Redmond/Bend with four other couples seeking an alternative to the Tahoe experience. Couldn't have been any easier.

While the guys golfed, the wives hiked, hit the well-appointed spa, rode horses around the myriad high-desert trails, and made trips into town (Bend) for retail therapy. We gathered in the evenings around the fire pit for aperitifs and then dined on-property at "Range". Our experience at the restaurant was phenomenal. Shrimp & Grits was ethereal. An herbaceous Quinoa salad was fresh and lively. The poached egg appetizer - fantastic. Confit duck was a perfect accompaniment to the velvety butternut squash soup. Drank wonderful Oregon Pinot Noirs from the well-informed wine list.

Waitstaff was warm and familiar - appropriate to the ranch vernacular - without sacrificing professionalism or attentiveness. They accommodated us well beyond the regular hours as we drank wine late into the night under a star-lit sky.

I will be enthusiastically recommending Brasada Ranch to the following: golf buddies, couples seeking a reasonably priced romantic weekend getaway, families with children (beautiful pool and activities area), enophiles, foodies, and horse enthusiasts and to those of us from the Bay Area who have simply had enough of the friday evening 6 hour drive up I-80 to Tahoe. Great time to take advantage of this up and comer.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Ranch House. I believe rooms in this part are exclusive to visitors without childr...

We had no idea what this was going to be like, but we were coming from Crater Lake and had some things planned in Bend and I could not find any 4-5 star places at the last minute (we had a 7 day planned for Crater and decided at the last minute to split up the trip), so reserved this. Down side, it is 20-30 minutes from ANYTHING, anywhere. It is REMOTE. This is a fancy upscale resort with golf and a bit of a way snooty way about it. There is a big pool (great if you have kids) but a bit of a distance from the cottage; and the restaurant choices were high high high end or kind of coffee shoppish, so we cooked all our own food.
Upside, the "room" actually was a HUGE cabin 750-900 sq feet, my guess, NICE size.
We had a hottub, full kitchen, coffee maker, washer dryer, all on the golf course. It was private and romantic. There was also an addition next to it, so we thought it might be fun to do with another couple some time. So, not what we expected but good. The big weird thing was, I booked it through hotels.com and they charged $300 per night....then upon leaving, Brasada gave us receipt for 200 per night! I went back to hotels.com who basically said "Oh they are not supposed to tell you we pay corporate rates to them, you don't"..that was IT with hotels.com for me, and not the fault of Brasada. Oh, one more thing, the do not have maid service.

Thank you so much for staying with us. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the Cabin, and found it private and romantic. As you mention, our location is not city-center. Here, on 1,800 acres, we’re blessed with the finest weather in Central Oregon and inspiring views of the high desert and Cascade peaks. Bend is 16 miles SW and Redmond is 14 miles NW – both about a 20 minute drive. I am sorry for your experience with Hotels.com and most upset that you left feeling there was a “snooty way” to our resort. In all my time here, this is the first time I have ever heard this comment and I must say it stings. We aim to be anything but “snooty” here on The Ranch and I’ll certainly share your review with our team to remind everyone. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon.

[For the benefit of all readers, our Cabins range from a few steps from the Athletic Center up to a 5 minute walk; at the time of your reservation, it is our pleasure to reserve a Cabin for you based on your requests – proximity to the Athletic Center, sunset views, morning sun views, etc. Complimentary housekeeping services are provided on the third day of stay. Daily services are available from $40 per day. Upon request, our team is available to replace towels and amenities at no charge.]

My husband and I went to Brasada for a long weekend getaway and we were so thrilled! We stayed in one of the Lodge rooms and it was beautiful and cozy. We enjoyed the restaurants and the snack shack - all the food was so good. We golfed two days and really enjoyed the course and the views! The fitness center was great, the pool looked awesome - so much to do. We will definately be coming back with the kids.
