“A nice Westin overall”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Pretty much an up to par Westin Hotel. A bit smaller then usual, very helpful staff, comfy and comfortable room (in the SPG floor) with all amenities. Would return if ever back in Portland. Thanks for a late checkout ..

Spent our post-4th holiday weekend in Portland for a family vacation. Stayed at The Westin and found the service to be very good (employees asked about our day each time we returned from an outing), the room was great (especially the bed and showerhead), and the location couldn't have been better. I love that Portlanders are as adicted to coffee as I am. Great coffee shop in the same building, Public Domain. Good restaurants all around. It was a little difficult to find family-friendly restaurants, however, 10 mins vs. 5 on the iphone. Yes, I could be nitpicking. Would have been 5 stars had the carpet been recently steam cleaned.

What a Wonderful Caring staff... We have been spending part of our vacation in Portland for years now,,,, enjoying Steelhead fishing, hiking, the Oregon Brew Fest, and many other activities that Portland has to offer.... We LOVE this city.... I made my vacation plans early this year, booking our hotel stay with the Westin Portland... April 21, my 24 Nephew was killed in a automobile accident. This has been a shock to the family ... I called the Westin , advising them of the tragedy , and canceling our room..... What a surprise when a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers arrived today, with a very thoughtful card... signed the Westin Portland.... what a big Smile that put on our face... Mahalo... you have once again, surpassed customer service, and made these customers/friends of Westin believe in you ....

Stayed here at this hotel for wknd visit. Great location as it's close to River, Pearl District and in middle of everything and surprisingly rooms are very quiet. Of course it's Portland. Staff is great and late night Room Service was also great. I would certainly stay here on my next Portland visit

From my initial contact during the reservation process to the day I checked out, the staff were some of the friendliest most accommodating I've encountered.

The hotel is about a 2 minute walk to the RED line MAX lite rail which takes you to the airport and all over the metro area.

There are plenty of restarauts and adequate shopping to occupy any free time you have. Everything is within 2-5 minute walk of the wonderful hotel.

The lobby and common areas are modern and updated, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. They are a little small but nonetheless comfortable, clean and offer the heavenly bed. Bathroom had a glass standup shower and tub.

Daily Grill offers quality food and drinks and is located in the hotel.

Great location - lots in walking distance
Huge bathroom - loved the separate tub and shower and shelves in the bathroom for all our stuff
Comfy chairs in the room

The lack of free wi-fi is absolutely ridiculous. I stayed at four very different hotels during my time in Oregon and this was by far the most expensive and swankiest and the only one without free wifi.

Recently remodeled to be more "modern". Still solid downtown Portland hotel, close to business and financial offices and easy walk to Pearl.

Pros:
- Location
- Awesome two block wide food truck pod literally out the front door
- Easy walk to downtown business & shops and Pearl District
- Great staff and awesome valets

Cons:
-Rooms are oddly laid out - glass enclosed shower (no tubs) kind of in middle of bathroom that has floor to ceiling windows. The toilet is next to the windows.
- No plug-ins available next to the bed so you have to plug electronics in on the desk, across the room
- Rooms are small - the bed takes up the entire space w/ a small desk & chair
