I stumbled across the Miss Delta while navigating the Mississippi District in NE Portland three years ago. It is easily my favorite restaurant in PDX. The food is awesome - the best collard greens and corn fritters ever. The dirty mac 'n cheese = total comfort food. The well drinks are interesting - definitely try a Farmer's Daughter (cucumber infused vodka and cranberry) on a hot summer day. The atmosphere is comfortable and layed back - the exposed brick walls, old timey bar, and psuedo voodoo/New Orleans religious icon decorations all add to this restaurant's charm.

Fried okra app too salty but good texture. I cook. I make good gumbo. My husband could not eat this gumbo, made without a roux. Fried oyster poor boy was just OK. Great taco! But the noise level was the highest I've experienced. We had to shout conversation at each other. Oh, very good gin martini! But I won't return because of the noise.

Best Mac & cheese I've ever had. Great Mojito and perfect corn fritters w gravy. I saw 2 guys destroying BBQ ribs as if they were mad at them. Funky and cheap.

Have eaten here four time now and it just keeps getting better and better. The service is perfect, the atmosphere is Bourbon Street, NOLA, and the food is just absolutely delicious as can be. Gotta try their meatloaf ! HUGE two slab portions for @$12.. Jambalaya is as good as any joint in Louisiana dreamed of and the fritters are the cat's meow.
