“good coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

the service seemed just not as friendly as so many other places we ate in in Portland--the coffee seemed to be just coffee-- lots of hype about it being so wonderful

“Great coffee, nice staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Sources for good, even great coffee are available almost everywhere in Portland. And Stumptown is certainly among them (the great ones, I mean). We have only been to the Downtown location but it's ideally located if you explore the city by foot (or want to drop in at the Bijou Cafe right next door).
The staff was very friendly and the coffee tasted great. Nothing more needed.

“Gourmet Coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

This is a nice coffeehouse, with friendly staff, and probably how Starbucks used to be in Seattle years ago, before they went for corporate world domination, a la "Austin Powers." While the coffee is very good, the prices are a little steep for what you get. A small coffee ran around $2.50 and reminded us of the little Dixie Cups you used as a kid. Twelve ounce packages of their premium whole-bean coffee ran about $14-15. One nice perk (pun intended) is that the same person who takes your order rings you up, AND makes your coffee. Nice to see this level of service in this day and age. As other reviewers have mentioned, for better or worse, there is a bit of a hipster vibe going on, so be sure to bring your iProduct and Birkenstocks.

“Best place for coffee in portland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

While there are lots of choices for coffee in Portland, Stumptown is the best. I always stop by this great place each time I am in town. Great place to people watch and enjoy downtown.

“Coffee Lovers Nirvana”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

I am so not hipster enough to look cool in this place but if you are looking for the best coffee in Portland lose the insecurity and experience coffee as it was meant to be. Do it! Do it now!!!
