This was my second visit to Toast. In Portland from the east coast visiting my daughter who lives in Portland. Both visits to Toast were fantastic. The bloody marys terrific! All food ordered was outstanding. Atmoshere is relaxing and staff very nice and helpful! Please do visit, you won't be disappointed!

Breakfast is one of our favorite meals out, and Toast didn't disappoint! We ordered the Benny & the Mets eggs benedict and the Berry Delicious French Toast (sharing each other's dishes, we both got some sweet and some savory!). The whipped cream and fresh berries on the french toast were pure nirvana and that bacon...wow! Cooked perfectly and what taste! But the amazing Benny & the Mets benedict dish is something I'll go back for...and soon! The hollandaise was creamy and smooth and tastes exactly the way good hollandaise should, the eggs were prepared magnificently, and don't even get me started on the rosti--an uber medallion of seasoned potatoes that, while a sufficient helping in and of itself, could have been 10 times that helping size and I still wouldn't have been satisfied. Dang, dang, dang, I love those rosti spuds! Thank you staff at Toast! See you soon!

Most yummy breakfast! Homemade English muffins, the prettiest poached eggs ever, beautiful bacon. The hashbrowns are some of the best I ever had. Small and cozy, sometimes you have a bit of a wait, but well worth it.

TOAST, 5222 SE 52nd Ave., is a must if you are in the SE area of Portland. If there is a line at the door, grab a cuppa joe and make yourself cozy while you wait. It will be worth the wait. This is by far one of the best breakfast/brunch joints in the Rose City. Donald, the owner, is often working behind the counter, greeting his guests, or picking up the dishes. The service is consistent, the food is incredibly fresh, delicious, local, and a twist on the regular breakfast/brunch fare. Try one of the breakfast sandwiches and have a bloody mary or blood orange mimosa! Donald also recently started up a nearby food-car with the clever name of "Yolk". Ask him about it and put that on your list of your food stops as well.
