Most yummy breakfast! Homemade English muffins, the prettiest poached eggs ever, beautiful bacon. The hashbrowns are some of the best I ever had. Small and cozy, sometimes you have a bit of a wait, but well worth it.

TOAST, 5222 SE 52nd Ave., is a must if you are in the SE area of Portland. If there is a line at the door, grab a cuppa joe and make yourself cozy while you wait. It will be worth the wait. This is by far one of the best breakfast/brunch joints in the Rose City. Donald, the owner, is often working behind the counter, greeting his guests, or picking up the dishes. The service is consistent, the food is incredibly fresh, delicious, local, and a twist on the regular breakfast/brunch fare. Try one of the breakfast sandwiches and have a bloody mary or blood orange mimosa! Donald also recently started up a nearby food-car with the clever name of "Yolk". Ask him about it and put that on your list of your food stops as well.

I LOVE Toast! My family and I have been going since they opened. On the weekends they are very busy for breakfast, so be prepared to wait. They turn tables over quickly on the weekends and they will let you know that they don't like it when you linger, that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. The breakfast you can expect is a perfect example of Pacific Northwest Style food. The ingredients are fresh, seasonal and local. They can accomidate any dietary restrictions.

They best part about Toast is dinner, it's NEVER busy, you get seated right away, the food is EXCELLENT! Try it for dinner you won't be dissapointed.

This is a nice, neighborhood place with very yummy food. We've been there for breakfast and dinner, and both were great. I wish they were located closer to us, or we'd go more often. Friendly owner and a great little vibe.
