I recently visited Portland, Oregon for a quick 1 night business trip. I chose the Best Western Pony Soldier Inn due to the vicinity to the airport. The room was surprisingly clean. Staff was accommodating with a last minute change (would have been more happy with an adjustment to my room rate due to this change). However, not much to report other than an easy, clean hotel.

Super stay; in fact my friend & I stayed an additional day. Very spacious room, great spa in the pool area, in walking distance to a great restaurant, Elmer's .. you must eat there. Reasonable rates and very friendly staff. Close to shopping areas. And a shuttle to take you to the airport and picked you up for the Max Train to Downtown Area. They were very happy to explain how the Max worked. They answered any questions you had and gave superb directions. Can't thank them enough for the wonderful trip we had. We flew to Portland and then drove down the PCH to Santa Barbara. It will be a memorable trip. Thank you to all of the gracious ladies that helped us.

Our room was spacious. We had plenty of nice towels and pillows, and the bed was very comfortable. The room, and the grounds were very clean. The whole place feels well cared for. Our room had a patio door thar opened onto our own sitting area with two chairs, facing the lovely courtyard, pool, and hot tub. What a peaceful, relaxing place, and so convenient to the airport.
