The access to the hospital is unusual for staff and visiting members of the public. From the centre of town taking a Trolley car out to the terminus is intriguing in itself before riding the Aerial Tram to a superb viewing platform at the entrance to the hospital. Well worth the effort to do. The vies as you ascend past the two supporting towers is magnificent, just hold on as the change in direction at the towers induces a little bit of sway to the capsule. It was rather crowded when we did both the ascent and descent which did inhibit the opportunity to take as many photos as I might have wished. Avoid the usual commuter / shift change times and it might be better. Incredible distances can be viewed from the viewing platform or a vast area. Well worth doing.

Nice view, nice pictures, not so expensive. There is nothing much to do up there, but it is definitely worthy.

My boyfriend and I didn't have time to do the tram on our other trip to Portland earlier in the year, so we made sure to get on this time around. It was very rainy while we were in Portland in November, but fortunately it cleared enough for us to get some views of the city while on the tram.

The most difficult part was actually getting TO the tram, however. Our GPS led us everywhere except the correct exit, and apparently all of the new construction around the tram made it difficult for us to get there. We ended up ditching our GPS and just using our iphone, and it got us there eventually.

The tram ride is cheap and ends up at OHSU. We didn't have time to explore the hospital, but had a few minutes to see the garden there. It was a cold day but it we still caught some nice views and enjoyed our time there. I think it's worth doing if you ever come to Portland!

We like Portland and have family who moved here a few years back. So everytime we visit we go to different places and this time we took the tram. It is a cheap ride and also very short but it offer a nice view of Mt. Hood and few other mountain if you go on a clear day. We took great pictures and will try it again. It is worth when you get to see the beauty of the mountains!

Great view of Portland, but in line with Portland weirdness, the ride ends in the middle of the reception a Hospital, great if you are checking in...
