“Not impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

Our group with children got there 5 minutes before opening time on a very cold morning and the staff would not let us in. They were too busy moving a couple of glasses and chairs around. They were rather unfriendly once we were inside. The theater had only a few easy chairs and three low tables in the back, the rest were rows of seats. The food was poor at best and took too long to get to us. I have never been so cold in a movie theater, the place was freezing. there are better places to watch movies around Portland.

“Best place in Portland to watch a movie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

5 or so theatres, reserve seats online, have food or popcorn served to you at your seat in the theatre in real china, who could ask for more? And the seats are extremely comfortable, more like chairs than movie seats. Should be comfortable for both the stout and the slim.

“Pretty cool place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

There is a pretty wide selection of food & drinks for being a movie theaters. I like the idea reserving tickets and having a drink while listening to life music or hanging around after a movie for a drink & live music. Great Location. Excellent movie selection. Modern design. Amazing food and booze which is delivered right to you in your seat! Living room is a great place to spend a weekend evening.
They had comfy seats and pleasant staff. would definitely go back. bathrooms were clean too.

“Comfortable”

Wow...even had an ottoman for the ultimate living room feel. Liked how you could pick your seats beforehand. Need to check bathrooms more frequently for trash, etc.

“Great Place to Catch the Latest Movie with Dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

We've been to many of the newer "Theater Pubs", but Living Room Theater has them all beat - hands down. Sure, it's a boutique movie theater where you can catch edgier first-run popular, foreign and independent films in a high-quality setting. Yes, it serves food and drink like other theater pubs. That's where the similarity ends.

LRT's theaters are exceedingly comfortable and intimate - big comfy chairs, nice size screens, great sound and no more than 4-5 rows. Truly a "living room" viewing experience.

LRT also has a full bar, classy restaurant and a wide variety of excellent food. It's literally a very good dinner out while seeing a movie. Even the popcorn comes in a classy china bowl. And, for all this, the food and drink prices are no different than any other restaurant and less than most movie theaters.

Our favorite shows to catch there are actually their "special edition" runs of newly restored classics. It's been a hoot to catch "North by Northwest", "Casablanca" and other great classics in this setting with dinner and a cocktail.
