There are not enough words to describe how wonderful the food is at Le Pigeon. It is a gastronomic adventure. Loved it, loved it! Be aware it is communal dining in small a space.

Don't miss this culinary adventure. The five or seven course tasting menu is a great adventure with each course perfect in presentation and flavor. The dining is via communal tables, with walk in space at the bar...but get a reservation. Even midweek, the entire restaurant was reserved. The wine pairing with each course as fun and educational.

Le Pigeon is a Portland classic at this point. It's won numerous awards and stayed popular because of their maintained attention to detail, not trying to grow too fast, and the constant attention by its founder and chef. This is my go-to spot for a nice dinner. The meals are reasonably priced, and the dishes are delicious and not too modern or strange for normal people's tastes!

This was the best dining experience that we had during our trip to Oregon! We requested a seat at the counter so that we could watch Chef Rucker work his magic, and we were so glad that we did. My husband had the beef & I had the lamb...both were phenomenal! Foie gras profiteroles ended our meal and they are a must try when you dine at Le Pigeon. Wine list had a variety of choices and they were reasonably priced. Service was excellent from both the server and the front of the house. Make your reservations well in advance, so that you do not miss out on this dining experience in Portland. Highly recommend!

We normally order enough to do our own tasting menu. Skip the scallop (good not great) but it looks pretty though. The foie gras, oysters, pork chop and fish were all amazing! Best pork chop my husband has ever had. Presentation, texture and taste were all perfect. Been to their sister restaurant, Little Bird. It was also very good if you can not get in here.
