We enjoy going to Bob's Red Mill, not only for the food, but also for the products you can buy pre-packaged or in bulk.

We took friends for breakfast who visited us from Denver and they said we should take all of our guests to Bob's Red Mill Restaurant. They were very impressed.

We visit the Portland area about once a year to see family and in addition to finding fresh seafood, we ALWAYS have to visit Bob's for breakfast, never fail.

You order at the counter and find your own seat and they bring you your meal. Coffee and water are self serve. Breakfast is traditional American with lots of options like gluten free. I always get an omelette with country potatoes. The biscuits that come with it are fantastic and are so big we always end up taking some home.

After breakfast you can shop in the store with all sorts of grains, mixes and just about anything else you might find in a mill store. We always end up taking a couple packages of stuff home on the airplane.

I was so excited to find gluten-free options on the breakfast menu I ordered pancakes and toast! Next time I'll skip the pancakes and go for the toast only!

First of all the store is wonderful. Every kind of grain, cereal, nut, spice, soup mix, rice, bean, you could ever want. I went a little crazy buying grains and things.

Then as far as the restaurant, you order at a counter in the back and they bring it out to your table. I ordered the vegan tofu scramble and I liked it. I would probably get it again
I ate outside and it was a nice little dining area, shaded, and quiet

They had several vegan options on the menu, so that was nice. I might try the pancakes next time.

Bob's Red Mill is a Portland-area landmark, and the cafe has menus for vegan, for vegetarian, as well as for others. We went on a rainy Saturday in April and the place was PACKED! After ordering we did find some empty tables and it wasn't long before the food was cheerfully brought to us. Whether packaged or in bulk, the selection of flours, beans, teas, spices, herbs, pasta --- it's amazing, and reasonably priced. Across the street from Bob's is Dave's Killer Bread, where fresh, or day old, or day old frozen bread can be purchased very reasonably indeed. Bob's and Dave's is a great one-two punch, with Concentrates (gardening fertilizers and amendments, many organic) just down the road. Well worth an outing. Highly recommended.
