Feces on the Shower curtain!
After a night of listening to loud partying (the rooms are not sound proof at all!), I got in the shower, and there was feces on the shower curtain. This is clearly not a clean hotel. There were several other cleanliness problems, but I have never been so disgusted in my life.

I would never, ever stay at this hotel again.

What a rip off...pay extra for deluxe room and this is what we got....THE TOILET SEAT WAS DIRTY,to the point that we have to wipe it with one of the towels...the tv stations were all fuzzy, but we were told @ the front desk that it was because interference, it just happen to be just in our room...the matress were extremily hard making imposible to sleep @ nite...the sliding door wasnt closing all the way, making the room freezing, and because that, we have to keep the room heater temperature very hight...the complementary breakfast, WAS OVER @ 9:00...even in the weekends..and thanks to lack of good sleep, we never make it on time...so i had to spend money somewhere else...we complain to the front desk about the ridicules time, and they told us that many people had complain to them but there manager hasn't done anything about it...i was expecting from this people to give a discount for having to deal with all this crap, especially the dirty toilet...but nothing...over all, this is by far, the worst hotel that i had ever stay, and my recomendation to you is to STAY AWAY!!!

We stayed a total of 3 nights at this hotel in late October. The first two nights we were placed in a room that faced the open pool area with outdated decor. On both nights there were other guests who were loud, up late, and smoking (which we could smell through our heating/ac window unit.) We requested a room change to the staff who did so without hesitation and assured us that their security would be on watch that night. The new room was slightly updated and in a quieter part of the hotel. The gym facilities were basics and the free breakfast was good. This hotel is an excellent value for it's proximity to downtown Portland.

The room was large, which was nice, but not very clean. It was cheap, though, and you get what you pay for. To get internet you have to plug your computer into an Ethernet cord that only extends a foot from the wall. Sounds can be heard very easily from the next room. If you stay here maybe ask if the construction is still going on. We had to drive in a big circle just to get to an alternative entrance. Continental breakfast is included, but not parking. I would not stay here again.

Great location in Downtown Portland. Just a few blocks to great restaurants, VooDoo Donuts, Jake's, McCormick & Schmitts, etc. Parking can be challenging, and the rooms are in a courtyard walkway outside.

This place has skipped several update cycles and now resembles a Stanley Kubric movie. I was a little dubious about the carpet, and I really disliked the funky dark hallways. The room itself was fine and the bathroom newly remodeled. Wi-fi is spotty. The staff was friendly and the price is low, plus you get a warm chocolate chip cookie.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms facing outward from the courtyard if you need wifi. Construction for the street car...

We stayed here for two nights. We were looking for a centrally-located hotel but didn't want to pay the prices most downtown properties charge. This place fits the bill.

The corridors are a bit worn and the hotel definately shows its age. The room was OK - the bed comfortable and the room was quiet. The place was clean but we did have to request housekeeping after the first night as it appears they forgot to do up the room. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room.

Parking adds $12 per day to the bill but it was still under $100 per night.

The hot breakfast included in the price was OK- nothing special but it did fill us up both mornings.

The hotel is about two blocks from the streetcar line and so it was really easy to get around. It wasn't all that far from "downtown" and we did walk it a couple of times.

I'm not sure we would stay here again, but for what we wanted on this trip it worked out fine.
